Core Merino is Core gear

Bought the Core Merino hoody and loved it so much I decided to get the half zip too. Wear it when it's not as windy and I don't need anything for my head. Much better than the core heavyweights in that they don't feel so "wooly" when I wear them. I love them.

Base layer top

The Sitka heavy weight base layer top is the best base layer I have ever worn. The inside material against your skin is soft and very comfortable. The top fits perfectly conforming to your body stretching and moving with you while keeping its shape even after several days of wear. The stand up collar keeps the chill off your neck while the half zip top allows you to keep from overheating and sweating while moving to and from your stand when le wearing heavier outer layers. The convenience of being able to wash this base layer with your regular laundry with no special instructions is a big plus. I would definitely purchase this item again.

Amazing under peace for late

Amazing under peace for late season hunts. Kept me warm all day and the merino helped get rid of the moisture from long pack in’s.

I already have the light

I already have the light weight set so I figured I would give the heavy weights a try. Man are these things beefy. Too early in the season to give a field test but just wearing around the house for five minutes and I had to take them off. No freezing this year.

I got it in a large, so it fits more tight like a base layer. Its def warm. Seems to be itchy tho.. I havent tried washn it yet.

Initial Impressions

Haven’t used this yet, appears well made. Fits true to size. Put it on in the house just to check for fit, got way too warm to keep it on inside, hope that’s a good sign for how warm it will be in extreme cold.
