The fit and quality of construction is all good as expected. I understand it's a layer, however its really no warmer than a heavyweight long sleeve t-shirt. Got to say I'm disappointed in the warmth and wind resistance the garment provides.

My go to when it gets below 40. This and a Dakota hoody is all I wear when it gets nasty chasing waterfowl. I bought a xxl.

Go to for cold weather

I run this over my lightweight base layer and it’s very warm and has quickly become one of my go to tops for cold weather as a base layer and stand alone bas layer for cool weather under either my ambient jacket or fanatic hoody.

Perfect cold weather base layer

Warm, perfect for frigid temps, combined with good wind resistant shell and an insulation layer kept me warm in the teens without bulk or restricted movement. Kept moisture away so I didn't feel classy after hiking to my stand.

One of my favorite Sitka pieces. It has an athletic fit so it’s easy to put layers over it. It has kept me warm while also keeping me dry. Size XL

Nice layering piece

The 1/2 zip is something I would purchase again, only in a solid. I love my heavyweight hoodie, but the half zip feels thinner and yet somehow warmer. Thumbholes in cuffs are nice. The chest pocket is deep, unlike the small one on heavyweight hoodie. I cant speak to the warm when wet aspect but it has been nice and warm the last 2. 5 days I've worn it hunting in 30-40 degree rainy weather.

The Sitka core merino 330 is my go to base layer for whitetail hunting in extreme conditions. I just wish it came in other solid colors.
