This is exactly what you would expect from a product like this. Wicks moisture and keeps you warm on those cold days. Fit is a bit on the athletic side which makes it feel a little smaller. I just order a size up and I'm good to go. You pay for what you get. . .

This piece is top notch, and addressed a definite weak link in my kit. To start with, I have the core lightweight synthetic, which is my go-to for September-October CO elk hunts beneath my Timberline, Mountain and Ascent pants. I also have the core heavy, which I wear under my Stratus and Incinerator sets for static OH whitetail hunting, as well as under my Hudson duck gear and even my Steelhead waders. The issue I had was in November-December on active mountain hunts, where the light did not provide any insulation, and the heavy provided too much insulation, thereby making me sweat, dampen up and chill - an absolute no-no at elevation in the cold while the wind is blasting. Enter the midweight. For mid-to-late season, I wear them under my Timberlines, and they provide just a hint of insulating properties while glassing or sitting, but are thin enough to allow for the dissipation of sweat during aggressive climbs and exertion. Whenever I head to the mountains, I take a pair of core lights and these, and swap them based on weather and daily hunting plans. The heavy have now been relegated to static hunts only. These are 5 stars from me for mid-to-late mountain hunts beneath the Timberlines.

I bought these for whitetail hunting, they keep me super warm in the stands. Waterfowl season opened and it was pretty chilly out back I wore these with my wader. I didn't get cold unlike normal with other base layers. Definitely helps me sit longer in the tree stands and the swamp!
