Ideal

By far the best waterfowl waders I’ve ever owned. I particularly like the boot fit and insulation, this seems very well engineered. The fit for the waders seems perfect (especially when I lose 10 lbs lol!) I can’t find anything to complain about here. Maybe add a fitting for a ring or something on the front so I can clip the biner for my Texas rigged dekes, that’s about it.

Exceptional Waders & Service

I own this new version of Sitka waders, and three pairs of the original version. These newer ones are better than the older version because they are tougher. Service with this company is exceptional, as I just received one of my original pairs back from repair. There is no substitute for hunting in these waders. They are tough, but easy to walk in, even over long distances. They shine in maneuverability, getting in out of blinds, boats, walking in mud, woods and water. Boots are about 1 size smaller than normal foot size.

Old man duck hunter

I absolutely love everything about these waders except the zipper. The teeth in the zipper are so sharp, the back of my hand was bleeding from stepping out behind the duck blind to relieve myself. I understand that the zipper probably has to be made the way it is to achieve water tightness for the waders, but the zipper teeth are brutal. I still have to give a five star rating to the GTX Waders because they are so comfortable and work so well!

Amazing commitment to their clients

I have had an amazing experience with sitka. You pay for the warranty. You pay for the repairs that are not the manufacturers fault or responsibility but when its sitkas time to step up & be responsible. . they are there every time & 2 times on Sunday. I hunt hard 7 months out of the year & I bought the sitka waders for their warranty after years of . I was a little sad paying for small repairs but after 10+ years of owning my waders. They finally could not be waterproofed any longer & I received a new pair of waders. I will continue to buy sitka gear forever for the way they stand behind their products.

They fit great and feel great. I did tear them on the neoprene just above the boot. I do hunt hard and sometimes we are in some thick cover. I need to send them in for repair. I think you guys would benefit from adding boot gaurds over the upper boot like a lot of brands do. I do like them and that was my only issue.

So Robust

Alittle tight

The waders are warmer than I thought they would be for having very little insulation to them. I wore them in the water to break ice when the air temp was 17 degrees and I could not feel the cold as I was waiting for ducks to start working. These waders do run tight in the thigh for me. I also have an issue keeping the shoulder straps connected.

Perfect for Mexico duck hunt

First use was for Mexico duck Hunt in January with temps ranging from 40 to 70°. Felt even colder than 40 on air boats out to blinds and these waders held off the wind and cold. More importantly, very comfortable throughout the day and completely leak proof. Boots felt comfortable enough with regular socks and, though brand new, the waders were not too stiff to be able to move freely. Will be adding components to complete the kit based on my experience with these waders.

I have to commend Sitka

I have to commend Sitka gear on their customer service. I have used my original pair of Sitka waders for a long 6 seasons and had really great experience with the warranty program. Recently, the warranty program wasn't able to resolve the leaks in my waders and the customer service team was able to help me out and get everything resolved. While the gear is fantastic and I depend on it for a good 100 day season on the West coast chasing ducks and geese, Sitka's customer service department is unmatched. They stand by their gear through and through.

Outstanding fit of both wader

Outstanding fit of both wader and boots. I measured as referenced on the Sitka website, then ordered and they came the perfect size. They are extremely well-made, comfortable and have excellent flexibility. The front zipper design makes them super easy to get in and out of quickly. Worth every penny. This is not a complete review, since I haven’t had the opportunity to hunt with them yet. I bought them for my upcoming deer hunt in December. I plan to use them extensively then. They fit good

I have not used them yet. I am generally between and medium and large. I went with the large/short. With a hoodie and jacket on the inside I still had a little room in the chest. I am a 9 1/2 shoe, the 10 fits nice and isn’t too difficult to get off. Im a 30” inseam and the fit is good. I like the straps, they don't appear to stretch. Excited to try them out.

Kept me warm in Alaska

Absolutely love these waders. Just used them for the first time in Alaska on a 3 day hunt. We stayed out all day in the water hunting off rocks in cold weather and I never had a complaint. I’m a lady with a size 9 shoe so I got the men’s 8 and it was 1/2 size too big which was perfect with my thick wool socks. They fit like a glove and kept me so warm and I was able to move comfortably in the water. We hunted off rocks and while some described them as slippery, I never had slipping issues. I also really like the edge on the heel to get them off easily! Pockets were great and kept my hands warm too. Paired really nice with the duck oven jacket!! Highly recommend these waders!

First experience

At 5’9”, 160#, I went

At 5’9”, 160#, I went with a medium regular size 10. I’ve taken these waders out 1 time so far, through some swampy mud for teal season. They’re as tough as they say. My typical shoe is 10-11, but I’m narrow-footed. The size 9 may have been a better option to keep the boot fully secured to my foot. I am unsure about the new boots and think the Lacrosse boots on the previous iteration may have been a better combo. Other than this mild frustration, I think these will keep me going for may seasons to come.
