Sitka
Excellent packable jacket for wet weather. So far the fabric stays supple in cold temperatures (-22F). The wet snow does not adhere to the jacket. I wish Sitka made a more robust version of this with thicker tear resistant Gore tex (like XCR from 25 years ago), internal mesh pockets, and wider oversized wrist cuffs straps. The hood design is perfect. Otherwise the perfect edc for outdoors peoples. The solid colors make it a suitable low profile option for urban environments. I purchased this for backcountry skiing and snowshoeing and it is perfect for that philosophy of use. The fabric is too noisy for bow hunting big games, a tradeoff I am willing to make because this Goretex performs much better in rain and snow compared with the more silent options out there. Sitka customer service is perfect. Sitka gear is always on point. Thank you Sitka staff for making A grade equipment.

Nice jacket but thin
This is a nice jacket, but much thinner than expected. It is waterproof so works good in rainy conditions as long as it's not real cold outside because you would need warm clothing under it.

I was uncertain if this jacket would hold up to heavy use in bad weather. I also have the Stormfront and Thunderhead rain gear, which I use routinely throughout the year. I wore this jacket (and pants) for a 4 day backpack trip in the rockies, in freezing rain, snow and stayed dry and mobile then entire time. Great product.

Good but missing some features from the Cloudburst
I received a Dew Point jacket as a warranty replacement for my Cloudburst. I was very happy with the service I received in replacing the jacket. I haven't tested the Dew Point out in the field yet, but here are some initial observations. I'm sad to see the Dew Point doesn't have pockets on the chest and shoulder that the Cloudburst had as I use these pockets all the time. The Dew Point is incredibly light and packs to half the size of the Cloudburst. That said, the material feels very thin, almost papery. I'm curious to see how it performs as a windproof/waterproof layer.

This product isn’t for me. I bought it for my stepson. Other than the fact that he’s worn it everyday since I bought it for him, I can’t really rate it. He actually loves it. 6’4”, 190# and the large fits just fine. I can layer underneath it with a base plus a light down jacket if needed. I haven’t been out in it yet, but I have gear made from this same Gore Tex and it performs well in bad weather. Pit zips are a nice feature, as is the built in balaclava.
