Stellar Rain Pants

I use these when I am busting brush in AK. Dry or wet weather these pants are tough, stand up to devils club and tree branches, and keep me exceptionally dry. In extended hunts I bring these rain pants and another pair of Sitka pants and that is is. They are light weight, ultra packable and maintain their water repellant characteristics after laundering with appropriate detergent. I am on my second pair, but that is because I wanted a solid color to go with the Subalpine pair I still have. This is a must buy.

Very much what I'd hoped they would be.

Only reason they're not receiving a five star rating is due to the country of manufacture. At the cost, one might think they could be produced domestically and still turn a profit. All things concerned. . . still a decent product.

Functional, Tight Waist

These are well made, waterproof, and light! The full zipper on the legs is extremely helpful. Only critique is the waist being extremely small. (I have a 32 inch waist and the Large pants are really tight on my waist. Couldn’t even get the Medium to button). This is tricky because the rest of the pants have a lot of extra room, makes them really “poofy”.

Purpose Built

The jacket and pant are lightweight, rugged, and minimalist. They’ve kept me dry in downpours and vent pretty well. Have stood up to rock and brush so far.

Exactly what is was looking for

Lightweight jacket folds into itself and you can fit the paint in the same pounce giving me the perfect easy throw and go option to switch between packs. I do wish they offered more tall sizes. Like 36+ inseams and large tall tops in all of their products.

Held up to the Kungsleden’s wind and rain

I bought this super lightweight rain jacket to take on a backpacking trip on Sweden’s legendary Kungsleden trail and I’m glad I did. The jacket along with the Dew Point pants kept me completely dry during a day of hiking in pouring rain and 30 to 40 mph winds. I was amazed when I got to the hut and took my rain gear off and was completely dry underneath. It does what it is supposed to even in the harshest conditions. It’s more than worth the few ounces of extra weight in my backpack.

My Dewpoint Pants

I love Sitka gear and have two complete sets from open country to solid colors that I even wear for snow skiing. I wish the pants had easier access to interior pants pockets.

The medium pats are 31 inches long, which is too short for a pair of rain pants, especially when sitting. The rain runs right off into my boot. Other than the length, they are good.

Good quality rain pants. Used them in British Columbia on a black bear hunt. Nerve got wet with a lot of rain and wet brush during the hunt. Easy to pack, will fold up into a 1 1/2” X 6 1/2” roll.

This pant seems very well made. It is light weight and very packable, which was a selling point for me. I haven’t tried it in the rain but GoreTex is great, so I’m confident no issues there.

Fits great. Has stretchy interior belt. The pants are more noisy then my stormfront but much lighter. Great for throwing in the pack. Dont even notice the weight or size.

Ive been a huge fan of FL pants for years. Swore by them. Decided I’d give these a try and let me tell you once the weather cools off these will be the only pants I wear in the field.

Wore this rain hiking through

Wore this rain hiking through Olympic National Park. Its rains everyday there if you didn’t know. I was able to truly put this gear to the test. When it rained on us for 8+ hours, this gear kept me dry the entire time. I’ve used other rain gear that reaches a saturation point then it’s no longer water proof. These pants and the coat that goes with it never had any amount of water soak through. They are extremely lightweight and easy to pack.

Great quality rain pants. I've worn them in snow and rain, and for windy mountain peak. The zippers function with ease. The elastic top and buckle is a nice touch. I chose medium so there wouldn't be any excess material in crotch or to long of pant legs. Medium is perfect for my 5'7 height. If wearing a thicker belt on pants, you have to button these above your belt line, or it can be quite tight. I've worn through some mountain brush and Midwest lowlands and no issues in quality!

Open Country fabric design

My grandson loves his Dew Point Pants, in the Open Country design. ( so does Grandma) I purchased his jacket for him last year. My grandson Lincoln was involved in an accident 9/8/25, hit by a car on his dirt bike. He was in CHOA for four weeks, 14 surgical procedures from the head to ending up loosing his left foot. He is my young hunter. He is planning to go hunting with his dad and his Uncle JP ( his name sake). I told Linc we would need to find the pants that matched his jacket. Well we did and was able to order and have delivered to him. One excited young hunter. He tried them on even with his brace on his leg, he said Grandma they zip all the way up, so I told him to un-zip and put them on for me. (Ha) Our family are so very lucky to still have this young man. He will be fitted for a prothstetic within the next few weeks. It will be a challenge for him, but he is one strong young man and I pray he will adapt ASAP! He has a strong support group, family, friends, the entire neighborhood even one of the orthopedic team has invited him and his dad to go hunting. He told his dad, well at least my left foot will not be cold while I am hunting. Oh lord, that boy. I tease him telling him I want him to look sharp and match when he goes to the hunting camp! He just grins at me. I love my grandson to the moon and back. ( All 3 of them) Now he is telling me he also likes the design that looks like it has honey comb on it. Sitka is a great product, quality is wonderful. I plan to take Linc lunch and to the Atlanta store soon. God help me!

Right out the box.

Let me preface this post by stating that I have not tried these out in the field yet. But the first impression when taking them out of the package, Wow, I really over paid for some slip on rain pants. Time will tell, but it At first glance I don’t see the value over a pair of frog toggs.

These are the same quality of very high end full zip pants. They vent well when leaving zippers open. Great lightweight hiking pants. I’ve taken them up many 14ers.

Awesome camo rain pant

Used me first pair a few seasons and finally caught my zipper on an edge of my trailer. This is a warranty replacement. I couldn’t be happier with Sitka gear and their commitment to taking care of their customers. The pant never leaked and was easy to wash clean. They held up to normal wear.
