Wore this rain hiking through

Wore this rain hiking through Olympic National Park. Its rains everyday there if you didn’t know. I was able to truly put this gear to the test. When it rained on us for 8+ hours, this gear kept me dry the entire time. I’ve used other rain gear that reaches a saturation point then it’s no longer water proof. These pants and the coat that goes with it never had any amount of water soak through. They are extremely lightweight and easy to pack.

Great quality rain pants. I've worn them in snow and rain, and for windy mountain peak. The zippers function with ease. The elastic top and buckle is a nice touch. I chose medium so there wouldn't be any excess material in crotch or to long of pant legs. Medium is perfect for my 5'7 height. If wearing a thicker belt on pants, you have to button these above your belt line, or it can be quite tight. I've worn through some mountain brush and Midwest lowlands and no issues in quality!

Right out the box.

Let me preface this post by stating that I have not tried these out in the field yet. But the first impression when taking them out of the package, Wow, I really over paid for some slip on rain pants. Time will tell, but it At first glance I don’t see the value over a pair of frog toggs.

Awesome camo rain pant

Excellent fit and finish rain pants! The Dew Point pants are absolutely bombproof rain kit. I used these on a fishing trip on the Columbia river. It rain for 10 hours straight and I was completely dry at the end of the day. I would recommend these pants without hesitation.

Dew point pants

These pants, along with the jacket, are the best set of rain gear I have used. They are not as durable as some, not as quite as others, not as ‘waterproof’ as they could be, nothing is truly waterproof though. All that said they are perfect for what I use them for, backpack sheep hunts. Ounce for ounce I haven’t found a better set of gear for sheep hunting.

Seems like waterproof gear is always a delicate balance of weight, effectiveness, and toughness. These balance all three amazing. The only reason you'll need to replace them is from abuse, such as sliding 50ft down an icy mountain.

Incredibly Lightweight Rain Protection

Got the dewpoint set for rain protection out hunting. Have yet to put them through the tough test out hiking/hunting but great for day to day rain protection. Super lightweight and fit is good. Only thing I wish they had was an adjustable ankle to fit snugly around your boots.

Functional but noisy

I left a similar review for the Dew Point jacket. If you’re looking for a product where being quiet is not required, the this would be the product for you. However if being quiet in the field is required then I would look for a different solution. This product is loud. So loud that when I was trying it on my wife could plainly hear me walking at 40 yards. The product is also thin. I would be concerned if I was walking through a thicket or thorns. Don’t believe it would last. I am a large but had to get an XL to wear over clothes.
