These pants, along with the jacket, are the best set of rain gear I have used. They are not as durable as some, not as quite as others, not as ‘waterproof’ as they could be, nothing is truly waterproof though. All that said they are perfect for what I use them for, backpack sheep hunts. Ounce for ounce I haven’t found a better set of gear for sheep hunting.

Pack, fit, and work well

Seems like waterproof gear is always a delicate balance of weight, effectiveness, and toughness. These balance all three amazing. The only reason you'll need to replace them is from abuse, such as sliding 50ft down an icy mountain.

This is my second pair, absolutely perfect. Easy to pack for those deep country hunts.

The colors are very bright, especially when they get wet, thus making them stand out against a background that becomes more subdued when it rains. Felt as though I stuck out like a sore thumb while turkey hunting this spring.

Functional but noisy

I left a similar review for the Dew Point jacket. If you’re looking for a product where being quiet is not required, the this would be the product for you. However if being quiet in the field is required then I would look for a different solution. This product is loud. So loud that when I was trying it on my wife could plainly hear me walking at 40 yards. The product is also thin. I would be concerned if I was walking through a thicket or thorns. Don’t believe it would last. I am a large but had to get an XL to wear over clothes.

Awesome product. Light weight and packable. I spend just about everyday on the water and this set compliments the rest of my Sitka products. It’s hot down here in Louisiana and you need good quality rain gear in the summertime that isn’t bulky and breathes.

I’ve used these paints in the wettest of conditions and they work great. They are durable walking through thick brush and are very lightweight and packable. The full length side zipper makes them easy to take on and off with boots on. Great product worth every penny!

I got them for work and it’s been pretty rainy in North East Texas so far and these pants have been great haven’t been wet since I bought them

Incredibly Lightweight Rain Protection

Got the dewpoint set for rain protection out hunting. Have yet to put them through the tough test out hiking/hunting but great for day to day rain protection. Super lightweight and fit is good. Only thing I wish they had was an adjustable ankle to fit snugly around your boots.

Awesome waterproof pants!

These are the perfect waterproof pants. They work awesome for putting in your pack for when that stray rain shower rolls in. These never leave my pack as they are lightweight protection from the rain!

Pants fit great and keep

Pants fit great and keep me very dry. However,the third time i wore them,i was simply walking through open hardwoods with nothing around me,and the pants tore at the knee. When i called customer service,i was told that i tore them on something and that they dont simply tear. Great for keeping dry,durability isnt the greatest,and customer service about the warranty was definitely questionable,especially for someone like me that has pro status and spends 100+ days a year in sitkas clothing.

Quality build but features are lacking

These do what they are supposed to do, however I feel as though it limits me rather than enabling me. I want pant loops to run a belt through rather than the sewn in belt and elastic strap that exists. I also want a way to snug the bottoms up to my boots rather than relying on gaiters or just leaving them flapping open and exposed to getting stepped on. The quality of this product is as you would expect from Sitka but I wish it had those dimensions things to make it perfect.

Great pants, have the jacket as well. Down pours this turkey season stayed dry.

Shoot through Storms

The Dewpoint pant makes the system complete. Shooting TAC in TN we were caught in a thunderstorm on the Sitka course. The Dewpoint system made it enjoyable to continue and complete the course. The full length vents in the legs make it easy to put the pants on over boots. The parts are durable and survived busting through the woods and climbing over rocks and crossing streams. I would recommend to anyone who wants to hunt through a storm. The pants have plenty of room to fit over your normal layers so a bit baggy but that’s what I expect for a rain shell.

Dew point rain gear

Just finished 4 days turkey hunting in the rain. Performed flawless, kept me dry. Wish it had a pocket for cell phone on thechest an cargo pockets for pants. Also its a bit noisy for a super quit sit. Other then that it kept me dry in a down pour. Very happy with the gear.

I just finished wearing the dew point pants and jacket over other gear on an extremely wet brown bear hunt on Kodiak Island. They performed perfectly as I stayed totally dry. It also was great with helping stay warm by being wind proof as well. Awesome product. 5 stars!

Perfect Summer light weight pant

We bought these for an upcoming trip to Alaska this summer. Having lived there I know the weather can be all over the place. It also rains. This is the perfect light weight rain pant for any climate.

Great packable rain gear.

These pants were exactly what I was hoping for. Lightweight, packable, waterproof. Good fit and easy on/off. The fabric is noisy but to be expected for this type of waterproof she’ll. These will likely live in my guide pack for Turkey season.

It's relatively thin, a waterproof shell. But it fits good and seems well crafted. I really, really appreciate Sitka offering the long sizes.
