Perfect for the rain

Wasn’t sure what to expect but when it arrived I was blown away. The material is super water resistant. It’s durable. And the optifade elevate pattern is awesome.

Good rain jacket,but I preferred

Good rain jacket,but I preferred the Jetstream jacket that it was supposed to replace.

Watery Pockets

The hand pockets for this jacket are where you'd find them on a typical rain jacket. However, when its raining cats and dogs, and you're trying to keep your hands dry inside of these pockets, you'll notice that the rain drains right down your sleeve, straight into the hand pocket, filling it with water and soaking your hands anyway. If the pockets were higher, perhaps over the chest, then the natural bend of elbow would be the low point, allowing water to drip off without getting into the pockets. I have used this jacket in a literal downpour 3 separate times in the Northern Idaho woods, and all three times, the jacket pockets fill up with water despite my hands being tucked inside nearly the whole time. I typically love Sitka clothing, but for a company that prides itself on their clothing being "gear", this is a fail.

I bought a XXL to fit over everything, including bino harness. It’s always frustrating to me when people list height and weight and how something fits, but never the damn size! Also the jacket and pants both work great, as quite as can be for a waterproof set!!

Good addition to my gear

Originally ordered a large based on my chest measurement 42-43” using the sizing chart, didn’t leave any room for any layering underneath. Ordered an XL and had enough room for layering. Quiet and kept me dry in a moderate rain storm.

This replaces my old downpour.

This replaces my old downpour. Warranty issue. I'm pretty disappointed, the material is totally different. My old one was brushed quiet finish. The new one is just loud nylon. Huge step down, very disappointing.

I didn't know I needed this

I have never really used rain gear because I tend to sit in a shelter if it starts to rain or snow. This set has the great Gore-Tex layers and quieter than normal rain gear. I went one size larger so it fits over my fanatic set and that actually gave me the best cold snowy rainy set up.

Well worth the extra $25

Great all around rain jacket. It is a bit more bulky to pack but half as noisy as the dew point. Loved it on my 10 day moose hunt last month even if it did take up a few more cubic inches in my pack.

Best Rain gear hands down

Rain gear is typically noisy and not ideal for bow hunting applications. This however is the most quiet and well thought out rain suit i have ever worn! If you’re looking for a quality piece to add to your arsenal look no further. This suit is lights out and will keep you bone dry! Sitka has once again exceeded my expectations!
