A little disappointed
Three things that really stood out to me with this bag: #1: it doesnt have big side pockets at all. For a bag this size, it’s literally just one giant space…but no end zip pockets or anything. That’s kind of a bummer #2: literally ONE TRIP with this bag in my truck, and the bottom material already has a little hole in it from rubbing on the bed lining. Like…WHAT?! I’ve had other bags for YEARS that I’ve run through deployments, hunting trips, ski trips…and this is the first bag that got THAT worn in literally a single trip. #3: I wish the zipper handles actually overlapped to create an actual watertight seal. The bag itself is waterproof, but I think it would have been just a step up to have a full seal. That being said…I have a hole in my bag after one trip so…it ain’t waterproof at all

I have purchased three of the Drifter Duffles. I have used them for multiple hunting, fishing and sailing trips. Very durable bag. They have held up well to the abuse of airline travel baggage handlers. Bags keep gear dry. All handles and straps are very durable and hold up for hauling 50lbs of gear. I gave this bag 4 stars due to the design of the back pack shoulder straps. The place where the shoulder straps connect at the top tear the bag at the connection. If you aren’t very careful while putting the bag on your shoulders the plastic piece tears out of the webbing when the sewing tears away from the bag. Due to this I only use the bag as a duffle and leave the back pack straps at home.

I have all 3 sizes . I have used em fly in fishing, wall tent hunting and simply going to visit family. I haven’t found a lot of situations to use the shoulder straps yet but they are super easy to add or remove . The bottoms are flexible but completely waterproof, the zippers are easy to find and use and the addition inside pockets are great for smaller gear. I use mystery ranch pouches to separate my larger items in the main pouch, Sitka time for pouches!

Really like and appreciate the quality, like all Sitka gear, on this duffle. Would highly recommend. Only thing i'd like to see improved is the location of the shoulder straps. They do get in the way a bit while accessing the zipper. Not a deal breaker though.
