Great carry on

This carry on is built very well and should hold up much better than the ones I have used in the past…it’s definitely more sturdy and the fabric seems to be very water resistant. Great zippers that hold the extra stuffing too!

Great for international Travel

Versatility

Very solid daypack, but much more versatile than just a daypack. Perfect for travel with the 60/40 duffel-style split, it really combines the carry-on and the personal item into one. I use this as my daily driver pack, where I'm able to carry everything for work and the gym/exercise (including a change of clothes and running shoes) in one bag. My only area for improvement is the laptop sleeve, which could be lofted 1" off the base of the bag to prevent the corner of your laptop hitting the ground when you put the bag down too quickly.

Not for right-handed folks

This is a great bag for everyday use. There's only one problem: it's made for left-handed people. It has a great concealed carry compartment, but if you're right-handed, then you're going to have to take the bag off to access it. Now if the zipper for that compartment were on the other side, then you could quickly access it in an emergency while letting it hang from your left shoulder. I really wish Sitka would make this bag in a right-handed version with the zippers on the other side.

My daily and I’m picky

I think this is a perfect overnighter for personal or business use. I’m done with the tactical look and this is stealth. I use the center section for a days clothing and think the zippers and things are typical Sitka - perfect and numerous. I had my doubts about the shell material at first but it’s proved bulletproof and for the most part water resistant! Zippers are strong. My wife took it to Europe as her day pack and loved it, I use it daily for laptop and business use.

Still going…

Update from previous review (10/21). Use nearly every day. Has been on planes, outdoors, overseas travel, back of vehicles, etc. Used for various types of outings, etc. Has been over packed many times, very little signs of wear. Love the design/layout. Still impressed and content with the product.

Solid backpack with excellent pocket

Solid backpack with excellent pocket placements. I was actually looking for another pocket in the first compartment and boom! It was already there. I have used it on two trips so far with a Mac book air in the computer sleeve. No issues.

I’ve tried many different backpacks,

I’ve tried many different backpacks, trying to find the one that I can use on a daily basis for work and traveling and this one does it all. The size is perfect for flying, yet still holds enough for a two day trip. Unless you’re the type that needs three pairs of shoes everywhere you go. For business it looks nice enough that it can be brought into meetings and of course having the laptop sleeve is a huge plus!

I purchased this backpack to use on short trips. I’ve used it for a quick weekend trip with my wife to carry my laptop and both of our rain jackets (dew point jackets ??). Plenty of pockets for accessories and the exterior seems to be very durable. I had several positive comments about the backpack from others. There is plenty of space for a laptop and cords in the back storage area. My wife kept a book and notepad in the front pocket. The main compartment should have plenty of space to pack for two-three days’ worth of clothing for a single person. I’ll be taking this bag for upcoming trip through the UK. Now that I’ve used it, I know I’ll have confidence in what I need it to do.

I bought this bag yesterday

I bought this bag yesterday for a 3 day, 2 night trip to Texas. My wife was skeptical that I could get everything I needed in it. Every time I’d put something in it, it would magically get bigger and have room for one more thing. Got to the airport and I needed room for my water bottle and puffy jacket. Shazaam, room for both appeared. I’m telling you, this bag is amazing. Added bonus, even when it’s over stuffed, the back panel stays flat so it lays correctly against your back, instead of feeling like you have a basketball up against you. Highly recommend.

I bought this backpack, based

I bought this backpack, based on a recommendation, and so glad I did. It's great. I needed a 1-2 day pack that can carry a change of clothing or two, and some reading material and tech for work trips, but also for travel. It fits all of those needs perfectly. Most backpacks this size don't have a garment zip layer so things can stay organized, this does. The front easy access section and rear tech protector is very useful as well. Highly recommend this product as your only, or as another pack, in your collection.

What I like about this

What I like about this bag is I can use this to lug around my computer or use as a small field bag when I go out in the woods. The material holds extremely well under rain. I like how there are built in compartments too. My only complaint would be to add some short of compression system for bag and pockets to better hold gear. Honestly it’s a hard bag to beat. I prefer it over my vertx and mystery ranch stuff.

Really not thrilled, but not

Really not thrilled, but not totally disappointed. Purchased looking for a daily commuter for work at the hospital with hope for Sitka quality & durability, but the interior could use a touch more thought in my opinion. I appreciate the idea behind the zippered mesh divider in large compartment, however, I wish the zipper was not smack dab in the middle... It limits the amount & size of items that can be carried. Secondly, it decreases ease of access if trying to reach something quickly due to the direction of the exterior zipper for same compartment, & inconvenient access point to items behind mesh divider. Ideally, if the divider zipper ran the full inner edge of the mesh divider, inside exterior zipper, this would allow easier access from the top in travel/use with both zippers at the top to open wider, & potentially make the mesh divider optional when not wanted/necessary. (Biggest pet peeves is divider not being optional...) I also wish the single pocket inside largest compartment had a zipper to keep items from rolling out if the bag gets turned over or if items are heavy & slide out when opened. This drives me nuts! Haha! Lastly, I wish the bag had exterior flat loops like my timber pack in order to optimize ability/versatility to attach things if necessary. Overall, I do like the bag. Quality of materials & durability seem to be as expected. Comfortable to carry. I appreciate the exterior zipper design for largest compartment to allow bag to be opened flat! That's great for visibility when space is available to open all the way. However, the bag is really just ideal for use as strictly a carry-on or overnight travel bag, in my opinion. Not so much an all around super versatile backpack for multi-use... Hope to see a re-design with a few tweeks in the future.

Perfect day bag

Simple, secure and great to use!

I travel for work quite often and this is a great tool to haul all my equipment around. Plenty of pockets with ample space, in addition to internal pockets/zippers, to separate and secure cords. I can also put all my peripheral devices in another pocket.
