Why We Made This
Waterfowl hunters were in need of an insulating jacket that could be easily layered into a system and would fit comfortably into waders. Our approach was to capitalize on the wind-killing properties of GORE-TEX® INFINIUM® WINDSTOPPER laminate while maximizing heat retention and mobility. To keep that heat, we used PrimaLoft® Silver insulation for its high weight-to-warmth ratio, reducing bulk in the upper torso and sleeves. A high-pile Berber fleece was used in the lower torso for layering inside waders or bibs. This ideal combination of GORE™ face fabric and PrimaLoft® insulation was in an effort to maintain core warmth, maneuverability, and ease of layering.
Features & Benefits
2 Upper Hand Pockets and 1 Zippered Chest Storage Pocket
In addition to the lower hand warmer pockets, 2 upper hand pockets remain accessible when worn with bibs or waders, and the zippered chest storage pocket stashes small essentials.
Easily Tuckable Lower Fabric
The lower portion of the jacket features a streamlined, high-stretch Gradient fabric that tucks easily into waders for comfort and mobility.
Complete Warmth & Windproof Protection
This jacket excels at maintaining core warmth with 200 g/m2 of PrimaLoft® Silver insulation in the torso and 133 g/m2 Primaloft® Silver insulation in the sleeves to trap heat where you need it without adding unnecessary bulk. A robust WINDSTOPPER® laminate blocks gusts to combat further heat loss.
WINDSTOPPER® products shelter hunters from the adverse effects of bone-chilling winds. The WINDSTOPPER™ membrane works with our base layers to prevent overheating and perspiration build-up by allowing moisture vapor to easily escape.Read More
