Bought this for a trip to Texas to deer hunt. Worked great in repelling. Flying and crawling insects. Just pulled up the hoodie and face mask. Had no problem with mosquitoes.

Perfect for warm hunts

Bought these for a hunt in Florida. Super comfortable and does great at keeping mosquitoes off. I saw them all over, but nothing got through! The hood with built in facemask are super handy. Mixed with the Guard pants I had squirrels walking up within 5 feet of me.

Mosquito Armor

I purchased XL hoodie for late season Turkey. I used it on a 72 degree South Miss deer hunt. The mosquitoes could only affect my uncovered facial area. They would not land on the garment. The Euinox Guard system stopped insects.

The Equinox Guard Hoodie is a must have piece of attire when hunting or hiking in bug infested country. It’s incredibly effective in protecting the head, neck, and upper body from mosquitoes, black flies, and other annoying insects. It has been well used in northern Maine and Alaska. It’s very comfortable and soft to touch. It’s well made - typical of Sitka clothing.

Great fishing hoodie

Perfect fit. I’m 5 10 215 and a Large is just right. Normally wear a XL so it runs a tad big. If you’re my size I’d go down. Love the aluminum color for fishing. While this was designed for hunting, I use it to ward off no see ums and mosquitos in the south Georgia marsh. At times they can attack you by the thousands. I hope Sitka will expand this line to include more solid light colors for fishing like the aluminum color. This is the only lightweight breathable hoodie with a face mask that I know of on the market that doesn’t stay bunched around the front of your neck with a humongous hood. I like how I can pull the face mask on this over my head when needed or out of the way when not. Also, the zippered front to dump heat is awesome. Best fishing hoodie there is in my opinion and I have Aftco ones, etc.

I’m Louisiana the mosquitoes are very thick. I’m not sold on this product keeping the mosquitoes away, but they definitely were not able to bite through it.

As Promised!

This top is packed with features and did exactly what it promised. Bugs would be swarming my face put up hood and face mask, bugs would move along. Also was quiet and cool the entire hunt.

Fantastic Fanatic

I usually wear a large. The large was the perfect fit. I'm 195 6'1". This hoodie is great. Fit is snug but you can still wear it over clothes. It's warm but the zipper makes it nice so you can dump heat. 2nd one of these hoodies I have bought. No complaints. I like the design of this new one better then the 1st one. The zipper is slightly offset to the right so it doesn't rub under my chin and the hood fits better now as well.

A Must Have

Got one in timber and elevated, perfect for turkey and early season whitetail. Wearing this is night and day as far as bugs go (they love me) and haven’t seen a single tick on me while wearing anything from the guard line. As soon as I go in the woods in street clothes I’m covered. Get the whole line, it’s worth it. I put “runs big” just because it comes a little longer to be able to tuck it into your pants for maximum pest protection, I still wear it in large just like everything else.

Little baggy

I have several other Sitka shirts and they seem to be true to size. The guard hoodie seems to be a little baggy. I ordered large but could probably use a medium. Other than that, can’t wait until spring turkey season to give it a try. I really like the patten for hunting in Southwest Georgia

Comfortable and Functional

This mid-layer hoodie was perfect for what I needed and the built-in gator is an added bonus. It’s comfortable and fits true to size. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this initially to use during the early bow season as a stand alone shirt. Just doing that was great. Hunting in NW Florida out of a saddle you can get really hot. This helped minimize sun exposure while not absorbing heat. Then as the weather turned down I've found it's great to use as a base layer.

Everything I could hope for

Purchased a hunting property in KY and the entire Equinox Guard line allows me to hunt and not worry about ticks or insects. Fits perfectly and allows me to focus on the task at hand
