Equinox guard hoodie

Bought the hoodie for turkey and fishing. Is is light weight so this is not something you want to wear on cooler days as your only outer wear. I don't like to wear insect clothing next to my skin, so I sized up so this could go as an outer layer over my regular clothes. Worked perfectly. First day was 32 degrees in the am, and the hoodie fit nicely over my base layer and my traverse hoodie. I was warm, and tick free on day one.

Runs a little big. Order a size smaller than what you normally wear!

I got this for hunting/ backpacking in Eastern Utah and Western/ Central Colorado. The guard hoodie performs flawlessly. Some of the areas I frequent are mosquito and tick heavy and Sitka has never let me down.

Very thing only good as a top layer if that, wish it would have more fabric to keep you warm.

Turkey season

Great product, the built in mask could be improved on but overall a great product as always with Sitka. Used this for annual Kansas turkey hunt.

I love the equinox hoodie. I now have two. My turkey one with guard has kept the ticks at bay this year. Super light for those warm springs Kansas days Chiang Rio’s.

Best hoodie!

The equinox guard hoodie is super comfortable and the perfect amount of warm for those cold spring turkey hunts. The sleeves at the wrist are a hair tight, but I stretched them out so they fit perfect now.

La Pampa, Argentina Red Stag & Black Buck Hunt

I usually use this for turkey hunting in Indiana. I wore two different EGHs in Argentina on a stag and black buck hunt. It was unusually hot--90+ degrees every day of the hunt in March/April 2026. The hoodie was light and worked great for the hours of hiking and stalking. It also helped with the myriad of bugs that tried to come after me. Highly recommend for the grueling hot weather we encountered.
