Equinox Guard Hoodie Reviews

Worth every penny!!

Nothing beats quality gear !!

I love it! Nice light

I love it! Nice light weight! Perfect for our warm turkey season running and gunning!

Hoodie

Breathed amazing

Nice Hoodie

True fit, lightweight, and cool.

A lil big

Was excited to get, ordered an XL as that’s size I wear in everything else, but it swallowed me. Returned for a L, hope it fits better.

Great spring/summer gear! I used

Great spring/summer gear! I used this turkey season and it kept me warm and dry in morning walk-ins and cool and dry in midday heat.

Equinox guard hoodie

Bought the hoodie for turkey and fishing. Is is light weight so this is not something you want to wear on cooler days as your only outer wear. I don't like to wear insect clothing next to my skin, so I sized up so this could go as an outer layer over my regular clothes. Worked perfectly. First day was 32 degrees in the am, and the hoodie fit nicely over my base layer and my traverse hoodie. I was warm, and tick free on day one.

Great hoodie for early season

Runs a little big. Order a size smaller than what you normally wear!

Perfect

I got this for hunting/ backpacking in Eastern Utah and Western/ Central Colorado. The guard hoodie performs flawlessly. Some of the areas I frequent are mosquito and tick heavy and Sitka has never let me down.

Mid

Very thing only good as a top layer if that, wish it would have more fabric to keep you warm.

Turkey season

Great product, the built in mask could be improved on but overall a great product as always with Sitka. Used this for annual Kansas turkey hunt.

No ticks!!

Best $$ money I've spent. No mosquitoes or nats and zero ticks!

Love it

It is incredibly comfortable

I love the equinox hoodie.

I love the equinox hoodie. I now have two. My turkey one with guard has kept the ticks at bay this year. Super light for those warm springs Kansas days Chiang Rio’s.

I’ve also been running the

I’ve also been running the Sitka Equinox Hoodie and gloves alongside the Guard LT Pants, and they’ve been just as impressive. The biggest standout again—bug protection. No mosquitoes, no ticks, no biting flies getting through. That alone makes a huge difference when you’re hunting in warmer conditions, whether that was down in Florida or back here in Ohio. Both the hoodie and gloves are lightweight and breathable, so you’re not overheating, even when temps start climbing. They’re comfortable enough to wear all day, and they don’t restrict movement at all—everything just works the way it should in the field. Between the pants, hoodie, and gloves, it’s a system that really shines for spring and warm-weather hunts. Keeps you protected, keeps you comfortable, and lets you stay focused on the hunt instead of constantly dealing with bugs.

Great piece

Does what it should. Light and comfortable. Great features and pockets. Keeps the bugs from getting you. Great spring turkey piece!

Guard hoodie

Fits awesome, love wearing it in warm weather

Great for mosquitos

I like to use this shirt in the warmer months for mosquito control. Sometimes it's just nice to not have to apply mosquito spray.

Best hoodie!

The equinox guard hoodie is super comfortable and the perfect amount of warm for those cold spring turkey hunts. The sleeves at the wrist are a hair tight, but I stretched them out so they fit perfect now.

La Pampa, Argentina Red Stag & Black Buck Hunt

I usually use this for turkey hunting in Indiana. I wore two different EGHs in Argentina on a stag and black buck hunt. It was unusually hot--90+ degrees every day of the hunt in March/April 2026. The hoodie was light and worked great for the hours of hiking and stalking. It also helped with the myriad of bugs that tried to come after me. Highly recommend for the grueling hot weather we encountered.
