6 day canoeing trip in the Everglades

I wore the Equinox Guard Hoodie during a 6 day canoeing trip in the Florida Everglades. It was hot, humid, and full of mosquitoes and no-see-ums and I had no issues. It was comfortable even while rowing and dried quickly when it got wet.

Haven’t tested in The field

Haven’t tested in The field but appears to be what I’m looking for in a lightweight turkey shirt. Thinner material than I expected.

Great for hot weather hunting and scouting

The integrated face gaiter is a good design. Sleeves have a thumb loop to keep sleeves from sliding up. It is a little baggy on the torso area, however I am skinny, so the hoodie should be tucked in to prevent ticks etc. Chest pocket is good for a phone or rangefinder.

Best thing out there for ticks

This is the best stuff I’ve found to prevent ticks. I don’t know what they put in this material but I virtually never get a tick wearing it. It’s also amazing at keeping you cool in hot weather. In now have 3 of them.

Great product

I am not as svelte as most but hoodie fits great. I have not been in a very buggy situation yet but there were a few flying around in my tent and none of them but me. I am happy with the purchase. I just need you to get the color I want in my size it wasn't available but I needed to try the bug repellent part of the hoodie before I go to Georgia in the summer.

I needed a thin hoodie

I needed a thin hoodie for a hunt in Mexico (temps of 100 degrees) and this was perfect. Love the built in face mask for convenience!

Sitka Equinox Guard Hoodie

This hoodie is built for one thing: hot, buggy turkey hunts. It’s lightweight, breathable, and does a great job keeping mosquitoes and ticks off you—huge win when you’re sitting still waiting on a gobbler. The built-in face mask is clutch for quick concealment when a bird slips in, and the fabric is quiet with plenty of stretch so you can move, adjust, and shoulder your shotgun without getting busted. It also layers well, making it a solid go-to piece for long mornings that start cool and heat up fast. Whether you’re run-and-gun or locked in on a setup, it keeps you comfortable and focused instead of swatting bugs or overheating. Bottom line: If you hunt in the South and deal with heat and bugs, this thing flat-out works. Less swatting, more killing.

Great hoodie, haven’t gotten to

Great hoodie, haven’t gotten to use the bug guard yet but I’m looking forward to it.

Works great

I have purchased 3 of these hoodies, early season can be hard to hunt with the mosquitoes and ticks. But equinox guard pants and hoodie keeps them off!

Equinox Guard Hoodie

Very light. Can’t wait until turkey season!

Love this Hoodie. Own 2 of them!

I bought the Equinox Guard Hoodie and the Equinox Guard pants for shed antler and turkey hunting/photography in the spring, and dove and deer hunting/photography in the late summer and early fall. This hoodie is so soft, so cool, and doesn't stink after wearing and sweating into it for several days. So, I bought another one in a different color and now have two. Only negative I can find about it is that I just think it's way overpriced for what it is. So, I only buy them on sale. The only other thing I'd like is if the tails were longer, so I don't have plumber's butt when bending over. But other than that, I love this Equinox Guard hoodie and the Equinox Guard pants and Equinox Guard gloves. I've yet to get bitten by any bugs while wearing this outfit over the last year, and have yet to have a tick on me while wearing it.

Awesome

Used it in the jungle in Brasil and it worked flawless. Not one big bite

Perfect.

Lightweight, flexible. Bug proof.
