Must Have from Sitka
Not every garment from Sitka is a "must have" but the Equinox Guard Pant is. The pant has unique design features like the integrated gators and muti panel design that make it worth the investment. My favorite pants
I needed a cool, stretchy, durable, lightweight elk hunting pant for the mountains. These are perfect. Wish I could have gone one size bigger, but this is the biggest they offer and I can make them work. Lots of vents for cooling, crazy strong materials. Sitka did an amaizing thing again.

Great early into mid season temps. Can wear them longer, depending on your base layer. Wore them last year for the first time. No ticks, chiggers and only had one mosquito bite. Bought another set of pant and top since I liked them so much. I’m 5’11”, 210lbs. Bought both in large and fit is great.

Feels like waders and bibs after awhile
God the fit of this thing sucks. I hate these pants with a passion. The price I paid. I'm gonna sell it. They feel like your walking in waders after a mile or 2. Or like you've been wearing fishing bibs all day. To restricted. The cut is horrible. Straight cut makes all the loose material fall to your calfs. Why it feel like bibs and waders. No flex nothing. I'm just fishing and I come home my hips hurt from trying to move around in this thing. These cut stinks need more tapered and more inseam for guys that are shorter. I'm 5'9 wearing crispi boots making me 1" taller and still to long where the articulated knees don't even line up to mine. Still to low. Who ever the person that was meant for has long femur. Basically long quads. Stinks now gonna have to go buy some 308 pants

Wear these to run and gun turkeys with clients in NC. It can get hot during the spring in NC. These pants are nice and light. We also have a lot of ticks and red bugs in NC. These pants seemed to do a fine job keeping them off. My only criticism is the location of the zippered pockets. They're in an awkward spot. I put my wallet in one and it becomes uncomfortable. Not matter what you put in one, other than perhaps some paper bills or maybe just your license, it will be uncomfortable due to the location. Anything with just a little bit of bulk will be uncomfortable in that pocket. Small issue - use a different pocket. Overall, great pant. Highly recommend, especially for warmer temps.

Much Needed Protection!
I liked my first pair so much I got a second! The ticks are bad this year and I would pick of 5-10 ticks depending on the day, but when I wore my equinox guard pants and changed out when I got home it would not find any. I would shake off my pants, hang them outside and pack them away later that night without any ticks. I purchased this pair for my everyday use in the woods, scouting, food plotting, or just hiking.
