Great defense against swamp mosquitos!
Great fit. Easy to move. No mosquito bites! Love the slash pockets that double as vents. I was a little on the fence about those, but they worked really well. Nothing fell out of the pockets and they dumped heat fast.

I went on an Axis
I went on an Axis deer hunt in Hawaii, an area known for its mosquitoes. This year, the mosquitoes weren't too bad, so I couldn't fully assess the effectiveness of the guard. I'll be testing it against ticks this fall. The guard is a simple piece of cloth that you tuck into your boot, similar to how I used to tuck my pant legs into my socks and blouse my pants in the military. Both methods seem effective, though you might need longer pants if you opt not to use these guard pants.

Fit is pretty on point.
Fit is pretty on point. The tick repellent is legit! Not the most durable but they do offer some flex, which is nice. It is becoming my "go to" spring/summer pant. I do wish there was a back pocket and that the front pockets were shaped like a jean pocket so you don't lose items from your pocket when you sit down. But... No ticks!!!

I have worn these in
I have worn these in areas with heavy mosquitoes and ticks. So far I have seen mosquitoes land on them, but i was not bitten. I also haven’t noticed any ticks after wearing them in the woods. These have given the same results as covering myself with bug spray without the messy residue. I like the vent through pockets and the material. I do wish they had back pockets. Every pair of men’s pants should have rear pockets for a wallet or any other use.
