Great pants for moderate climates

This spring while turkey hunting I had tall grass and with it ticks, chiggers and other biting insects that can make a hunt miserable. These pants did a great job of protecting my legs from those critters while keeping me silent as I walked into my hunting locations. The only downside if you want to consider it that is the pants are thicker than some of the other options so here in the south where it gets really warm early on they can make you sweat a lot. On the other hand they will be awesome come this fall when the weather turns just a little cooler and the mosquitoes are still out.

No bug bites!

I got the Equinox for working outside when the mosquitos are bad. Not a single bite since getting them. I also scouted an area that is known to have ticks. With the little sleeves at the bottom of the pant that tuck into socks I didn’t get any. These are gonna be my go to turkey hunting and summer scouting pants as well. Pockets are also well placed to work well with a tree saddle. Looks like early season whitetail pants too.

Best outdoor pants in the market

I love to dove hunt, turkey hunt, you name it, I hunt it in the Southeast. The biggest distraction is insects. I hate getting bit or stung when I am trying to enjoy my day hunting. These pants are the dang ticket! The woven material is great; but I absolutely love the extra protection in the legs to keep ticks out. Good job Sitka, you did it again!

Simply Outstanding!

I bought these pants to work in mosquito and tick infested woods setting up trail cameras for the upcoming whitetail season in Missouri and Iowa. After spending multiple days in the woods and high grass, I had no bites and/or ticks on my legs. They fit well and are cut right for hunting. Can’t wait to wear them next spring for turkey season.

Must Have from Sitka

Not every garment from Sitka is a "must have" but the Equinox Guard Pant is. The pant has unique design features like the integrated gators and muti panel design that make it worth the investment. My value driven engineering mindset was skeptical about the investment but once I put them on it made be an advocate. Pull the trigger on these, you won't regret it.

My favorite pants

I needed a cool, stretchy, durable, lightweight elk hunting pant for the mountains. These are perfect. Wish I could have gone one size bigger, but this is the biggest they offer and I can make them work. Lots of vents for cooling, crazy strong materials. Sitka did an amaizing thing again.

Great pants

Great early into mid season temps. Can wear them longer, depending on your base layer. Wore them last year for the first time. No ticks, chiggers and only had one mosquito bite. Bought another set of pant and top since I liked them so much. I’m 5’11”, 210lbs. Bought both in large and fit is great.

haven’t field tested yet but plan on using them for an Idaho spring bear hunt soon. quality materials and attention to detail that you just don’t get with other brands. sorry someone has to say it. haters will hate but you get what you pay for.

Great pant

Wear these to run and gun turkeys with clients in NC. It can get hot during the spring in NC. These pants are nice and light. We also have a lot of ticks and red bugs in NC. These pants seemed to do a fine job keeping them off. My only criticism is the location of the zippered pockets. They're in an awkward spot. I put my wallet in one and it becomes uncomfortable. Not matter what you put in one, other than perhaps some paper bills or maybe just your license, it will be uncomfortable due to the location. Anything with just a little bit of bulk will be uncomfortable in that pocket. Small issue - use a different pocket. Overall, great pant. Highly recommend, especially for warmer temps.

These pants are high quality and designed to breathe with the zipper breath holes. I took them fishing and was warm in the morning at 55 and cool in the afternoon 85

Stylish Bug Pants

I was hard pressed to find bug pants in general, with only a few options, Sitka stood near the top, thankfully I got them on sale because they're price, but they come with great features, like the built in gators! They also fit great, really nice around the waist and groin. I had tried Rail Riders, which I did love how much lighter their pants were, but the fit was strange, looked terrible and felt tight when bending down. Although the Sitka pants are heavier, they feel incredible, so I went with them. I'm using them for hiking instead of hunting, hoping they pan out just as good for that!

I love this product! Great fit and comfortable flex. Most importantly in summer months and early hunting season, the local ticks are going to be in trouble! The built-in gaiters and insect + shield will keep those buggers off the skin!
