Great hoodie

I am very impressed with this hoodie. I have been wearing it over the core lightweight crew shirt and that has kept me comfortable from the brisk mornings to the hot days in the sierras. And after wearing it for almost two weeks in the mountains I asked my girlfriend to smell my clothes and guess how long I went without washing it, she guessed 2 days! The built in hand covers are great to have when temps dropped or the wind picks up. And the face shield and hoodie are convenient features too. I don’t have to remember to bring a neck gaiter to stay concealed with this hoodie. Also I found multiple different combinations with my Sitka gear to adapt to changing temperatures throughout the day without adding excess weight or bulk.

Like most people would tell

Like most people would tell you it’s one of the best hoodies on the market. I’m 6 foot 215 pounds and about a 34 to 36 inch waist. My shoulders are a little bit broader so the large fits me a little snug, but I would not go up a size. I tried on the extra large and it was like a dress. The back of the sweatshirt drops off lower than the front like most Sitka gear does but the extra large dropped to my hamstrings. I exchanged it for a large and I like the fit. It’s well thought out and the face shield fits well without suffocating you when you breathe. I probably wouldn’t wear it on a daily basis just because it’s so unique and specific but you could. I also just don’t own any solid colors and I generally don’t wear camo as a regular sweatshirt.

Fanatic Hoodie

Haven’t tried it out in the woods yet, but the fit and feel of the fanatic hoodie is great. The hood shapes to your head real nice, the face mask has just the right amount of stretch to move with you and not be too flimsy, and the chest pocket and kangaroo pouch is an added bonus to have on this hoodie. If I had to change anything, and there isn’t much, but if I had to it would be to shorten up the length of the sleeves because it can bunch up on your wrist if you don’t use the built in hand mittens and the thumb holes. I would use those if I didn’t have gloves on me. Other than that, a great product for my first ever Sitka piece!

Good hoodie

Hoodie fits nice and is extra long which is nice when saddle hunting. Is warm but breaths so I don’t sweat bad on the walk in. So far I really like it.

Love this Hoodie

Been in the field several times now with this hoodie. Early season in upstate SC area. Extremely comfortable and I love the built-in face cover. You can use the face cover with the hood or with a warm weather Sitka cap.

Integral part of my system

The fanatic hoody is a mainstay in my system as an outer layer in the mid to upper 50’s and is always a mid layer once temps drop. The hood with the built in face mask is perfect. One of my favorite pieces and the new Cover pattern is great for the SE!

Just bought it a couple weeks ago. We really haven’t had that cold of temps. Wore it in the 50s with just a short sleeve shirt underneath and was warm.

It’s a very nice hoodie. Only thing I would change would be the logo. Instead of a vinyl logo I wish it were sewn on instead. But other that that a great product. Happy with my purchase

Very comfortable and warm however the fabric started pilling almost immediately. Especially bad where in contact with bino harness. Only a few days of use before pilling started. I didn't even know it had the flip over hand muffs but they were great on chilly mornings.
