The weather hasn't been to where I have needed to wear the Sitka Jacket yet. I tried it on in my house, after walking around for just a moment, it generates warmth quicker than any other I have worn. I find the fit to be smaller than my other outer wear. Maybe after this winter season I could have a more definite opinion. 5 Stars to this point.

Fanatic Jacket

I'm not sure why I waited so long to buy this jacket. This is the warmest outer layer that I have ever worn. The built in hand warmer on the jacket is an absolute game changer. So many pockets for storage. This jacket looks and feels bulky, but once you get it on and while sitting up in the treestand you don't even notice it. The design of the jacket allows for great mobility while bow hunting. Can't say enough good about it! My first hunt wearing this jacket was 30 degrees with a wet, heavy snow. I did not get cold, the jacket was soaked but I stayed dry! I wore this jacket on a half mile hike in, didn't sweat, perfect! Don't worry about sizing up as you won't need many baselayers! I am 6'0' tall and weight 190lbs and the large fit perfect.

Long sleeves!

This jacket is well thought out. The collar is tall and snug enough to keep the wind iut, but nit be restricting. The kangaroo pocket is warm enough for all but the coldest of days. I have long arms (36-1/2”), and have plenty of coverage. The inner fleece quiets a nylon covered down mid-layer , if you’re wearing one, and the outer fleece has kept me silent against the tree and the stand. The open breast pouch is really handy, and surprisingly secure. It’s a great place for a rangefinder or a grunt tube. I’m 6’1” and 200 lbs, and got the XL so I’d have room to layer. It’s a little roomy (not tapered) in the midsection, but not a problem. Great jacket!

Fanatic Jacket

Nice and warm. If you have to walk much you'll burn up. I normally wear large but upsized to an XL. I like my clothes a little loose. Got the bibs too but haven't wore them yet. Not as many pockets as the incinerator jacket has but a lot quieter material. I'm 62 and on blood thinners and it keeps me warm.

Mandatory piece

I was hunting Illinois in the middle of October and the wind absolutely destroyed me. Thank God my brother had his fanatic jacket. This jacket is amazing. When does not penetrate and it will truly keep you warm. As far as I’m concerned it’s a mandatory piece. I am a big guy so I bought an extra large due to layering highly recommend this jacket to any serious Hunter.

This is coat will be perfect for those extremely days on the stand & it is not too bulky. I had some difficulty raising the rifle to my shoulder so some may find ordering a size up will do the trick.

Great Jacket

This is a Great hunting jacket, especially for Very Cold temperatures. Warm and comfortable. Well worth the $$ it costs. I am still trying to figure out why the front zipper is diagonal instead of up and down. But, it's no big deal. If you are looking for a Top of the Line Hunting Jacket, this is it. I ordered an XL and

I ordered an XL and it fits just right! I’m 6’2” and 260lbs. I was wearing this and a T shirt and didn’t realize it was 32 degrees Fahrenheit until I took my hands out of my pockets.

Awesome cold weather stand jacket

I have been using this jacket for november/december whitetail hunting and its been perfect! I typically boat in wearing this jacket and the windproof does its job. depending on layering i can hunt from teens up the 40 degree range. highly recommend. it is incredibly comfortable and warm. Only regret I have is not buying it sooner. I'm 5'10 and 200 lbs with an athletic/thick build and large was perfect. XL and i was swimming in the belly area.

I get cold easy. I switched to Sitka this year after some recommendations and couldn't be happier. Only been in snow in mid teens but kept extremely warm on all day sits which I have never been able to do without walking or multiple hand warmers.

Best Jacket for Cold Weather Hunting

I used the fanatic system for hunting when the weather was in the 20’s and was so warm that I never felt like I needed additional warming layers. The jacket is now a staple for all white tail hunts that I go on and has yet to fail me to any capacity. Material is holding up great, and is dead silent even when moving around.

Best whitetail bow hunting Jacket I have ever owned. Every zipper every button and every piece of fabric seems engineered to make me quieter and more efficient with a bow in my hands. Dont think about if you bow hunt you love this Jacket.

Warmest jacket I’ve ever owned

I bought the bibs last year just to give them a shot and see how I liked the fanatic system. I ended up loving it, 10 degrees opening forearm season and I was the most comfortable I had ever been. In fact, the only cold I felt was the up top in my arms. So I bought the jacket this year and it’s exactly the same. I sat in the rain in the wind and in the cold and I was never uncomfortable or cold. It completely blocks wind. Now the rain did soak the outside of the coat as it’s not 100% water proof, but I never once got wet on the inside. Very pleased that I can sit all day comfortably in the central Midwest.

Everyone in the Midwest who sits in a stand hunting whitetails needs this. Over 25 years of using various different products and the search has stopped. I can’t imagine being warmer all day in a deerstand.

Dangerous jacket

I bought this jacket for late season hunting in the teens. You have to be careful wearing it in a treestand. It is so warm and toasty it will put you to sleep. I was a little cautious about spending so much money on a hunting jacket But let me tell you it's worth every penny.

Exceptionally Warm and great features

I own the Fanatic Jacket and Bibs and the Incinerator Jacket and Bibs and I must say in my opinion, the Fanatic is much warmer than the Incinerator. I recently wore both systems in 20-30 degree weather with identical layering and found the Fanatic was warmer. I love the features of the jacket and although the displaced zipper is a bit awkward at times, it creates the perfect, comfortable hand warmer pouch where you can sit comfortably for hours in your stand and reach for your rifle or bow in an easy motion. Both the Fanatic and Incinerator systems are exceptional and have their own functionality, I love the warmth compared to the Incinerator in my opinion.

Great Gear

Northern Minnesota and wind! I love hunting cold windy days…big bucks! I recently purchased the Fanatic jacket and bibs and they are absolutely the best! I got them on sale and they are worth every penny. I can easily hunt into -10 or -20 weather in these bad boys!!

Fanatic Fan

I've had my Fanatic gear for several years now. I am an absolute fan. If you have a fairly long hike to get to your stand, you may consider packing the Fanatic gear in and getting dressed at your stand. You will roast walking in. This has been a game changer for me. Recently was archery hunting with 28 degree temps in the AM. I sat toasty warm with my Fanatic gear (jacket, bibs, hoody) Only 4 stars since it is not water proof but have worn it in snow fall without problems. You don't have to layer too heavy with this gear. With the jacket, I used long johns, fanatic hoody, a fleece pullover and that is all. With layering, you may want to get a size bigger but I have have found mine to fit fine with the layering I do. I like the hand warmer pocket in the front. Toss a hand warmer packet in it and you are good to go.

Crossbow / firearms hunters read this

Love this jacket and bibs. Very warm and don’t have to wear so many layers until it gets down into the teens. Being a right handed Xbow and gun hunter, I wish I would have bought the “lefty” jacket so my range finder and grunt tube pocket would be on my left side. When my rangefinder is in the pocket and I have a weapon in my right hand it makes grabbing my range finder difficult with out switching hands. Other than that it’s a great system!

The coat is warm no question.

First it runs small. I am 6’ 175 lbs and I bought the large. It’s too small. I hunt 2/3 of the way up a good size hill. Can’t wear it and climb and it isn’t light or pack up well. I do sit in the stand from dark to dark. The cross zipper is a bit awkward when sitting. There is no stretch to the coat and no hoop so must wear a layer below with a hood if you want one. Yea the coat isn’t perfect but when sitting all day is the really cold weather the shivers won’t get too bad.

Great jacket! Sat comfortably in

Great jacket! Sat comfortably in 30 degree weather for three hours with just a merino base layer. Totally silent as I was able to get set up on an 8 pointer who came in out of nowhere at 25 yards. As a system the jacket and bibs are phenomenal and I can’t wait to get back in them during gun season.

Great Jacket When you're sitting.

This Jacket is everything its hyped up to be, as long as you're hunting in a stand or blind. I don't wear this when walking to the stand because I work up a sweat after a few hundred yards through the mountains when wearing it, even well below freezing. That makes it tricky because it doesn't fit well in a midsize backpack with other gear because of the insulation. Warmest coat I've seen for sitting around, but honestly far too warm if you're moving. Would love a little bit of stretch, but at this point, wouldn't want another jacket when I'm sitting in the stand in these northern Decembers.
