Great, use for multiple hunts and layers
I love these pants. I use them early season field waterfowl hunting, elk hunting in the dessert it blends great in the light grasses, and finally they are used as an under layer for bibs until in the pit blind.

Tight in thighs
Can’t give the pants an honest field review. Had to immediately return them. They are tight in the thighs. I lift pretty seriously and have trouble with finding pants for these legs. The Dakota pants in timber and the intercept sub alpines are the only pants that fit so far.

Noisy
XXL fit really well, but at 5'11" they were long and they're very noisy. Bought these for a rabbit hunt, it was in the 40s and rainy, these held up wonderfully, were very comfortable! Even in really thick cover and thorns, the pants didn't tear and stopped a lot of thorns. Wish there were more options for fat guys, we've got money too lol.

Waterproof version would make the perfect pants
I own 2 pairs of the Grinder pants. One in timber color and 1 in mud. I use them for duck and bear hunting in Mn. The fit is great. I wish they had a waterproof version. The angled leg pockets are not the most useful. Over all a very good pants that can take some abuse without showing much wear.

I use them for winter smallmouth hunting!
Theses pants work very well for winter smallmouth fishing in SW Ohio. Some water resistance for drizzle and snow with some wind resistance for the cold days. Wear First Lite Furnace as a base and you're set for sub 20 degree temps easily. The long front pocket positions are perfect whether sitting or standing. I'm 5'9" and 185. The leg length is a little long for my 31" inseam but no big deal especially when tucked into a pair of La Crosse Alpha's. 36" waist is perfect for a base layer. Just cinch up the belt without it. Very pleased with what I wear them for.

The outer material has changed
The outer material has changed from previous versions. I get it that you've made them probably more water resistant but now you make tons of noise just walking due top the material rubbing together. The older version was made more out of the Jetstream jacket type material and much better in my opinion. I would also add that I'm a Pro and seeing a change in your sizing. You've gone from the more sleek athletic fitting sizing to the larger waisted more relaxed fit in your clothes especially the base layers. More a Drake fit now. I get it that was Drake's model because most americans are overweight. Disheartening loved the way your clothes fit and now I'm having to downsize to a medium I guess. Still the best money can buy so won't complain. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. PS, I filled out the sizing issues below related more towards base layers than the grinder pants.
