Why We Made This
Waterfowl hunters demand a bib that they can build a system around. One that allows freedom of movement, can be layered and provides ultimate protection from a variety of late-season environments, conditions and weather. Our design was focused on using a GORE-TEX® 3-layer laminate face with GORE-TEX® with STRETCH technology in the upper gussets. Reinforced ripstop knees and seat will take the abuse of waterfowling season after season. Totally windproof, waterproof and breathable–plus the ability for unrestricted movement in tight spaces–makes this a lethal combination of technologies. The Hudson delivers maximum mobility and comfort for the unrelenting wet & cold experienced on a full day waterfowl hunt.

They’re pretty durable and will keep your legs dry, and really keep out the wind. The knee pads are a great addition to a waterfowler’s bibs. I didn’t think much of it until I wore them for the first time, and it makes for a much more pleasant hunt when you climbing in and out of layout blinds and packing up decoys, etc. You use them a lot more than you think! The set it and forget it straps are very comfortable, and the fit is nice. I’m 5’9” and 150lbs and the medium is a perfect fit with room to spare and could let out the shoulder straps a lot. I just wish the fleece liner went down to or just below the knee to add a little warmth to them. Also while I have not had any problems with the leg zippers it would be nice to have the larger lugged zipper like what is on the torso down the legs rather than the small ones they have.
Tanner, Whit and Danielle are awesome folks to work with and very helpful with any questions that I had about these bibs. The customer service at Sitka is fantastic and the gear did not disappoint.
Just took them out of the box. Couldn’t be happier! I did a ton of research on these and from what I can tell the wind and rain stand no chance with these bad boys! These are definitely it for warmth but you will need to layer underneath. I purchased the Gradient Pants to go under these and they fit perfect. I am 6’1” 230lbs (36” waist) I got size Large and they fit perfect.
Warmth, amazing. Quality of material, amazing.
The reason I gave these bibs 3 stars is because of the zipper. Its a terrible design and after a few hunts they are completely destroyed and don't operate correctly. Granted I hunt a lot of mud and salt marsh type of environments and I hunt hard. I take care of my stuff though and I've never had an issue with any other garment or any equipment due to lack of care. This was very upsetting for me.
Fix the zippers and these bibs are the best I've ever had. I ordered the new Hudson Aerolite Bibs; hopefully those zippers will last longer.
As always, no disappointment in Sitka Gear quality. I’m looking forward to using them for the upcoming season. I’m writing this review mostly based on sizing. I’m 5’11, 210lbs with a stocky/athletic build. I usually wear an XL in all outer layer garments, including Sitka Gear. I originally purchased the bibs in XL as I normally would and they were pretty big, even with full layering as I would for late season waterfowl hunting. I exchanged them for a pair of larges and that made a huge difference. Even with the same layering pieces I eliminated a ton of excess material but still gave me room and have comfort to move. I read several other reviews that stated the same thing but needed to see for myself. I’m glad I switched sizes. If you’re looking for an all around bib Hudson is it. I’d also like to thank Sitka support for helping with this decision.
Just got these today and man are they ever nice, super high quality. Love the adjustment on the suspenders and also lots of pockets. I am 6’ 6” and got a large tall and they seem to fit perfect. I intend to wear with my Delta jacket and I also own the Hudson jacket in different camo which I will wear with my waders. It’s worth spending the money and buying good quality apparel it sucks to be cold and wet; Sitka is simply the best.
I have now hunted two seasons in eastern Washington corn fields with these and couldn't be happier. They have held up to everything thrown at them and show very little to no wear. They work great whether it's the early part of the season or during snow storms in December and January. I have always stayed dry and just add layers depending on the temperatures expected. I am one that had a hard time with the price but had to try them, they are worth the money.
Just got my Hudson's today. While the season is over (they were out of stock previously), I'm set for next year. I pulled them out of the box and threw them on over my jeans and sweatshirt, and they fit perfectly - I'm 5'11", 220# and bought the XL - I'm confident I'll have no issue layering in late season. Typical Sitka construction, I'm expecting many years of use from these.
Purchased these this last summer when my size came back in stock. I am not a waterfowl hunter, rather I hunt mountain lion, bobcat and coyotes in the winter months along with guiding big game hunts throughout the fall. I have always looked for a non insulated TOUGH waterproof pair of bibs. I have had several pairs that kind of work out and generally get one maybe two seasons out of them; decided to give these a try. As far as tough, these things are amazing. The materials used can withstand any kind of brush and abuse. The fit is awesome. I am 6'3" and the tall size is great. The integrated knee pads are a great idea. These bibs are by far my new favorite piece of gear and without a doubt would purchase these again.
These are amazing. Block all wind and rain. Have a little stretch to them and are easy to move in. Knee pads and “aviator” pockets on the thighs are the two best features I never knew I wanted. An absolute must buy.
These bibs are great while training retrievers in the cooler months. Tough and durable for day to day use. Wind and water resistant makes them a go too for the ever changing Texas weather. Great for rainy days as well. They stay on my dog truck at all times.
This is my absolute favorite piece of sitka gear. You can wear them when it’s 60° out of when it’s -20° and they will not be too hot and will keep you warm with a pair of long underwear and pants under either. They’re also waterproof, and have tons of pockets in the right places. I’d highly recommend them to anyone who hunts dry fields.
These bibs are worth every penny. You stay very comfortable while either riding on a quad in freezing temps or while laying in a goose blind. The built in knee pads are the best part of the bibs because it allows me to duck into my smaller enclosed trailer to pull out the decoys without hurting my knees. If you're on the fence, just buy them...you'll be very happy you did.
Wore these in North Dakota for the first time. Just like everything Sitka quality is amazing. Knee pads add a ton of extra comfort when kneeling on frozen ground. Not insulated but still kept me warm in freezing temps w long johns and sweat pants underneath. I’m 6’3 195 and the LT fit me perfectly
Go to piece of waterfowl gear no matter the temps. Goretex holds up well, stretch material in all the right places, so when youre sitting in a blind all day, its about as comfortable as it can be. never had water come through the seams in rain or dew in the mornings. The built in knee pads are great. Plenty of room to add layers underneath, but slim enough that early season hunts in just baselayers works great.
My only recommendation is some way to cinch down the boot cuff so its tighter
I recently received my Hudson Bibs and I CAN'T WAIT to use them in the field. I have an entire waterfowl system plus some and haven't been this excited about a piece of gear since testing the DWJ late season diver hunting in the worse conditions. (Also highly recommend) The only thing I can say is, definitely get a size smaller than what you would normally get. Almost all my pieces are XL and a few XXL but I was swimming in the XL bibs. (I'm 6'1 / 210lbs Athletic build) The Large fit absolutely perfect and I will have room to layer. Pull the trigger and get these, hope this helps the next buyer!!
I have yet to field test them but I love them already. Layers great with the Gradient pants as well but what shocked me the most was that I’m normally a large in Sitka pants, but I ordered the medium tall and I’m 5’10 - 180 and they fit perfect. They’re cut great up top with room for a sweatshirt on under and the legs got enough room for layering. You know it’s a great product when you haven’t even hunted in it yet and you love it already. Killer!
Great Product! Very high quality fabric. Can't go wrong with this. Heads up on the sizing. Sitka Products are very fitted. Buy up at least 2 sizes, if you are a big guy or you have some love handles around your middle. Some guys will not be able to fit into Sitka, even at a 3X. I am buying a XXL and it fits me like a glove, but may have to go to a XXXL to just be able to layer another hoodie or something like that.
Can't go wrong buying their product. You won't regret it.
Leak like the titanic.
Last comment blocked. Save your money. Leak like a sieve. Soaked at knee joint and zipper. Very disappointing. I expect way more.
These bibs are great! Only problem I had was sizing. I wear a XXL in everything Sitka. I’m 6’2” 260lb. Pretty large corn fed fella and the XXL were a little baggy on me. Had to exchange for XL.
I’m 6’4”, 245 lbs. The XLT fits perfectly, plenty of length, with just enough room for layering if needed. These bibs defy cold, wind and rain. I wear them under my Hudson jacket, or over my Gradient jacket. I just love them! Another great product.
Doing this review mainly to talk about size and first impressions, I just got the bibs when they got my size back in stock. I am 6’3, 210, and would consider myself athletic in build. I wear a 34-36 in the waist in jeans and usually a 32-34 length. I have the fanatic lite bibs in XLT and they fit perfect with the gradient pants and core heavy weight bottoms underneath. I went with the XLT for the Hudson’s as well, I chose the XL versus the L because I plan on wearing layers underneath them and would rather them be a little baggy rather than too tight. They are just a little longer in the legs and kinda roomy in the waist and torso area. Once I layer up underneath and add boots as well, I expect the bibs to fit exactly as I expected. I hope this helps.
I am 6' 0" and weigh about 160 lbs. I ordered a pair of the bibs in Regular Medium size and I am very pleased that they are 100% true to fit. I hunt on public reservoirs in Texas which puts you in some of the worst elements and these bibs more than help lock out the rain, wind, and cold. There is plenty of adjust ability in the straps to accommodate many different heights it seems. Hands down these are the best bibs that I have ever owned, and would highly recommend these to anyone that is looking to purchase a bomb proof set of waterfowl bibs.
Very well engineered bibs. Sitka has a way of knowing every place a pocket is needed, a zipper is needed, and they nailed it in the Hudson bibs. I have worn these from early season to later in the season, and have yet to find a complaint about them. When it comes to my gear I want to make sure it is comfortable, has pockets where it feels comfortable to put hands or items, and is going to stand the elements.
If I could I would give it 5 stars. Hunted them all 5 days up in North Dakota in snow, rain, sleet and super windy conditions and never got cold or wet! All of my buddies wearing other name brands were soaked while none of my under layers were even damp. If you’re careful around sharp objects you should never need a new pair but if I ever decide to I’d buy the Hudson’s again! Also hunted a mud hole and my bibs were black up to my knees and one rinse just as they say to do under the care section and they look 100% good as new!
Just got my new bibs- these are beautifully built and designed. However they run big, very big. I am 6'3 and 235 pounds and the 2X's are huge on me. The 2X would literally fit someone who is 6'6 300 pounds. Exchanging them for XL.

Tundra Swans
In 1962, Utah became the first state where Tundra Swans could be legally hunted since the passing of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. In 1983, due to the significant increase in population, the Pacific Flyway prepared a long-term management plan for the western population of Tundra Swans.

I am a fly fishing guide. I bought these bibs for wind and rain gear and have worn them almost daily for the last 2 weeks since I got them. I’m blown away that there’s no gore-tex on the butt. Rainy day wet boat seats are a no-go. Aside from that significant flaw, they’re almost perfect for what I do. Zipper is sticky but the adjustable straps are great, big pockets and chest pockets great. A solid color option would be cool too.
I love these bibs! Well thought out! Perfect for hunting out of a layout blind. Hunted ND this past season. Wore a heavy underlayer and bibs. Never got cold. Run a little big. I would go down 1 size than you normally wear.
The website describes these bibs in a different way than they are worn. Online it says "Utilizing GORE-TEX stretch technology in key areas that typically inhibit movement, the Hudson Bib keeps you absolutely dry while also providing the unencumbered range of motion necessary to get into and out of blinds or deep cover." As you guys use the words "absolutely dry": I disagree. Under the "Why we made these", "The Hudson delivers maximum mobility and comfort for the unrelenting wet & cold experienced on a full day waterfowl hunt." I am very unhappy with my purchase of these. I wore these on Friday all day long for an offshore fishing trip. As I sat on the way out into the ocean, I could feel my pants getting soaking wet. I realized that there is a mesh part where the bottom is. This was not said on the website. The website states these are 100% waterproof, and I highly disagree. As I thought about these bibs and how you hunt in them, these are not efficient in waterfowl hunting. When sitting on the ground or a layout blind when it is wet or humid outside, you get wet. I am highly discouraged about my purchase as I read that they will be 100% waterproof and they are not. I feel that the Hudson Bibs are not what they state on the website.
The best hunting bibs I have ever bought. I have used them for hunting In snow, ice, mud, and mash and they have always kept me warm and dry.
