Banff Canada trip mountain summit

Solid jacket kept me warm on Mount temple during a snow storm that rolled in towards the summit. I’ll tag yall in my instagram once I post in a few days.

For a puffy/down jacket, I'd have to say this is my favorite.

Great Design

This is very well designed. Very good fit, extremely packable and lightweight. The warmth is hard to beat and the rip stop fabric is a nice touch.

Antarctica trip was a success because of Sitka!

Warmest jacket ever! But so lightweight and compressible, it can be packed in a small roll in a suitcase. Just returned from a trip to Antarctica and was never cold. Sitka thermals and a heavyweight hoody with this jacket was incredible. Used Dew Point pants for waterproofing on Zodiac boat rides and snow storms. Sitka comes through flawlessly again! Best gear ever!

Hyper Down Jacket Is Perfect!

Extremely warm for the weight. I often wear it with a t shirt under for daily use on cold mornings when it’s going to warm up during the day. Packing it in the backcountry is not a problem

The jacket is extremely warm (as long as there's no wind). Warmth to weight is incredible but the jacket is anything but durable. Would love to see this jacket with the face fabric of the old Kelvin Lite down.

High Quality Puffy!

The Hyperdown Jacket keeps you warm, and is more durable then other lightweight puffy jackets in this category! The sizing runs a touch big which is great as it easily fits over outer layers when necessary. I'm definitely pleased with this purchase!

Extremely Warm

I bought this to wear over bibs and other layers for cold whitetail sits in December in KS, where it is often in single digits. I was able to wear around town on a few sub-zero days and it was extremely warm. While not technically wind proof, I did not feel any wind though it despite extremely cold windy days. Great hand warmer pockets and interior storage pockets. The shell seems a bit lighter weight so I don’t intend to bust brush or sit against rocks in it. Overall I love the piece. The only minor complaint I have is that the item on the website has a monochromatic logo, which I wanted. The item I received has a bright white logo, which seems to align more with a previous year’s version but I paid the full current price for it. Not sure if that is the case or if the website photos are just incorrect.

Super warm!

Great jacket, very incredibly warm and packable. This is my go to coat for the winter. Pockets are just ok on the inside of the jacket but would be nicer if they were zippered vs netted. Haven't used it for a hunt but again it's my daily jacket. Follow the steps if you get it wet or have to clean it. It needs dried appropriately and fluffed afterwards. Trust the process.

All Purpose Jacket

This jacket is the perfect all purpose insulator. It packs down into a 5L compression sack for storage in my bag, and is always there. I have worn it in temperatures as low as 30 below with minimal chill, and it cuts the wind like a knife. I plan on getting the pants next because of how versatile this jacket is. It is a little big, but fits over a bino harness and still has room. I cannot say anything negative about this jacket, and highly recommend it.

Excellent cold weather sitting jacket

I have now used this jacket several times for 2-3 hour sits in 20-30 degree weather, including windy and snowy. At the coldest, I wore a heavyweight baseline and Ambient 200 under this. On a warmer day with a hike, I wore a heavyweight baseline, aerolight vest and jetstream jacket. When I got to where I was sitting I pulled out this jacket and threw ie on over everything. Not a bit of chill. The only (expected) downside is it is not the quietest fabric. That, however can be mitigated by reducing your movement. I would not wear it on a stalk for this and the fabric catches on twigs and such. Lastly, they dont explicitly say it but the jacket can be folded inward into the dump pocket to fit compactly in a backpack. You could get it even smaller with a stuff sack, for sure. Order normal size and it is big enough to fit over other layers.

I live in Montana and

I live in Montana and needed something that would keep me warm late in the year. So far I’m impressed with the quality and warmth of this jacket. I am worried about it holding up to heavy brush and branches but so far so good for what I’ve put it through. I’m 6’2” and 205 pounds so I got the XL so I could layer up underneath pretty good.

Mega warm

I had the kelvin and still love that. I bought this for those 4th season elk in Colorado for those snappy cold mornings glassing.

Great product

Wore this jacket for a late season elk hunt in NW Colorado. Had -1 and -19*F with wind chill up top and the jacket performed amazingly. This coupled with the hyper-down pants and an appropriate layering system was the perfect piece of gear. Couldn’t recommend this product enough.

Had a hard time spending

Had a hard time spending the price on hunting clothes but knew it would be cold in the MT mountains. Can’t even begin to describe the satisfaction and gratitude I have for the pants n coat I purchased. One day was 4 degrees with sustained winds of 20-40 MPH. Not once did I get cold. I am beyond impressed with the quality of product Sitka provides. I’m a believer now and will def be purchasing more clothing from them. Wow is all I can say!!

I recently purchased this jacket to replace my older kelvin lite puffy. This jacket was much quieter, much warmer, and much roomier for layering.

Nice fit/feel out of the box

Out of the box fit/feel is good. This and the pants are both surprisingly lightweight. Plan to put them to action this winter but have no doubt they will be warm.

My New Puffy

I have tried it on at home, it fits and feels good. I will take hunting in CO next week, I am looking forward to try it out in the field and be happy with it.
