Antarctica trip was a success because of Sitka!

Warmest jacket ever! But so lightweight and compressible, it can be packed in a small roll in a suitcase. Just returned from a trip to Antarctica and was never cold. Sitka thermals and a heavyweight hoody with this jacket was incredible. Used Dew Point pants for waterproofing on Zodiac boat rides and snow storms. Sitka comes through flawlessly again! Best gear ever!

Extremely Warm

I bought this to wear over bibs and other layers for cold whitetail sits in December in KS, where it is often in single digits. I was able to wear around town on a few sub-zero days and it was extremely warm. While not technically wind proof, I did not feel any wind though it despite extremely cold windy days. Great hand warmer pockets and interior storage pockets. The shell seems a bit lighter weight so I don’t intend to bust brush or sit against rocks in it. Overall I love the piece. The only minor complaint I have is that the item on the website has a monochromatic logo, which I wanted. The item I received has a bright white logo, which seems to align more with a previous year’s version but I paid the full current price for it. Not sure if that is the case or if the website photos are just incorrect.

Super warm!

Great jacket, very incredibly warm and packable. This is my go to coat for the winter. Pockets are just ok on the inside of the jacket but would be nicer if they were zippered vs netted. Haven't used it for a hunt but again it's my daily jacket. Follow the steps if you get it wet or have to clean it. It needs dried appropriately and fluffed afterwards. Trust the process.

All Purpose Jacket

This jacket is the perfect all purpose insulator. It packs down into a 5L compression sack for storage in my bag, and is always there. I have worn it in temperatures as low as 30 below with minimal chill, and it cuts the wind like a knife. I plan on getting the pants next because of how versatile this jacket is. It is a little big, but fits over a bino harness and still has room. I cannot say anything negative about this jacket, and highly recommend it.

Excellent cold weather sitting jacket

I have now used this jacket several times for 2-3 hour sits in 20-30 degree weather, including windy and snowy. At the coldest, I wore a heavyweight baseline and Ambient 200 under this. On a warmer day with a hike, I wore a heavyweight baseline, aerolight vest and jetstream jacket. When I got to where I was sitting I pulled out this jacket and threw ie on over everything. Not a bit of chill. The only (expected) downside is it is not the quietest fabric. That, however can be mitigated by reducing your movement. I would not wear it on a stalk for this and the fabric catches on twigs and such. Lastly, they dont explicitly say it but the jacket can be folded inward into the dump pocket to fit compactly in a backpack. You could get it even smaller with a stuff sack, for sure. Order normal size and it is big enough to fit over other layers.

I live in Montana and

I live in Montana and needed something that would keep me warm late in the year. So far I’m impressed with the quality and warmth of this jacket. Had a hard time spending

Had a hard time spending the price on hunting clothes but knew it would be cold in the MT mountains. Can’t even begin to describe the satisfaction and gratitude I have for the pants n coat I purchased. One day was 4 degrees with sustained winds of 20-40 MPH. Not once did I get cold. Overall good but it could be better.

Overall I am satisfied with this jacket. It is light, packs well and seems to have good construction. I like that the insulation extends below the wrist cuff and bottom drawcord. It is wonderfully warm but I've only had it out at freezing and not well below yet. Most recently a northern Washington PCT section hike. Even though they say it is sized to fit over layers and a bino harness my typical size was a little tight. I usually wear a large and I'm glad I sized up to XL. An overcoat is not something to skimp on size. I do have some wishes for improvement with this jacket. I wish the hood had additional adjustment on the back so that it could be better fitted. I don't always want the hood so cavernous. Also I wish the down was treated and had some overstuff. I get the idea behind a synthetic mix but at 90% down and just a nylon shell, a little bit of primaloft isn't going to miraculously make the jacket just as resistant to clumping if it gets wet. (And it will eventually in its use. ) Even if it isn't the same down as their sleeping bags, there are many responsibility sourced treated down options and the performance loss is pretty minimal.

I purchased this jacket to have something to keep in my pack for late season glassing. The jacket it warm! It's very thick and pretty lightweight. I ordered a large and it fits well, I could wear this over long johns and a hoody or a light coat. anything more and it would be a bit too snug in the arms. I am 6'1" 170lbs athletic build.

Other than sizing (XL), which is challenging for me if it is not a Large Tall, this jacket is fantastic. Super warm, super puffy, packs down fine considering the size. Tough to layer under rain gear, which is not really what it was designed for, but can work in a pinch. Really more of a 'belay' style jacket to go over your kit depending on size, or simply as warm outerwear. Well done; I will be adding the pants eventually.
