It feels like the fabric is substantially thicker and better quality than the standard sporting goods store sweatshirts. It fits right and isn’t designed to be a tight fit so you can actually move in it. I wouldn’t want to test an expensive Sitka sweatshirt on a job site but the fabric stands up to a typical day in the yard or garage and is nice enough to wear with jeans around town. 6’2”, 240lbs, 46L, and XL fits perfect through the shoulders and is a little loose around the middle and bottom even though I’m not skinny.
