Purchased this for its versatility

Purchased this for its versatility and wind blocking abilities. Will use in Alaska, hunts out west, and on cold days on the drift boat. Also I sized up to a large so I can layer, the fit is perfect.

Great Jacket with Perfect Fit Size Medium

I really like the color and I believe it will be a perfect jackets since I run hot all the time. It is a light jacket which is what I wanted. Looking forward to using this hunting season and since it looks so good just a normal everyday winter jacket.

Shipping is terrible, but best windbreaker you can get

Terrible shipping time. Took 2 weeks to get from KY to OH. Jacket is true to size, high quality, and does everything isles supposed to do with flying colors.

Between myself, my dad, and my grandpa, we own 5-6 of these jackets and we wear them all the time because they are so comfortable, durable, and they look great.

Great Softshell

Love this Jetstream Jacket. Nice stretch, weather resistance, pockets & light insulation that makes good alone or as a shell. Roomier than previous models.

This jacket fits extremely better than the previous version. I would say Sitka definitely nailed it

Horrible Zippers

Zippers are horrible and will not last.

Fantastic Wind Blocking

It’s not as quiet as the stratus, but it fits slimmer and I think the DWR technology is better for rain or snow. Blocks wind no problem.

Jetstream jackt

I am doing this review because I couldn’t find it elsewhere. I am 6’1”, only about 160-165 pounds and large is the correct fit. Ideally a medium tall is the BEST fit and hopefully Sitka can make one eventually, but large is good. As always great jacket just wish the cuffs were adjustable for tall and skinny guys. I’m a medium tall in the stratus jacket and a large in the jetstream.

Excellent design, features and materials. Just what I was looking for in a soft shell however the armpit area was tailored too tight. I am 6-03 200 and with one thin wool base layer it was cutting into my arm pit with any motion. Two thin wool layers were not wearable. Definitely not enough room for the mobility i need for hunting. Secondly, in fairness to all customers, all Sitka products should be labeled online and on the garment “Contains PFAS” or “Does NOT Contain PFAS” so it is clear to customers what they are purchasing.

I’m 6’2”, weight 205 pounds and picked up an XL. Jacket is amazing and fits great. Awesome jacket for this easy Montana winter we just had. The coldest I wore it was 5° out and had a long sleeve on under it and I was fine. Great purchase.

Size up to layer

I purchased this jacket because Wyoming is windy. I usually wear a wool sweater underneath and still have good articulation of my arms. It stops wind and moderate short term rain effectively.

Bought a second

The sleeves could surely use a way to cinch them down. Otherwise great jacket, I have two. I have worn it sitting for deer in December in snow and light rain. I have worn it hunting rabbits with dogs in January. When real cold and still, pair it with an ambient 200 or aerolite vest and you'll be toasty.

Great coat would only make one change

Coat is amazing the only change I would make is to make an adjustable cuff. Cuff is large and doesn’t fit right around the wrist.

Must have

All Sitka jackets have never let me down. I wear them out and buy more. The biggest reason is because they have what fits me best. I need long and tall and athletic build and that’s this. Even if I didn’t hunt I would want their tall jackets.

Very good quality, I use it for everyday use but it would be a great hunting jacket. I love the vents for letting you drop heat on a long hike!

Nice jacket

This is a nice durable jacket! It's a tad bit more stiff than what I would expect, but that allows me to move through any type of brush i would encounter with no worries whatsoever. repels a light rain well, and completely block the wind. Super versatile and will be in my kit forever.

I wear this coat every day. I have in subalpine for hunting it was so comfortable the I got one for everyday.

Great jacket! I’m typically a lg or lg tall in Sitka, but the lg worked out well. I wear this mostly day to day and for upland hunting.

Great Windbreaker Jacket

The jacket is good quality, quieter than other similar jacket, and the water resistants its great. The fit is the only area I would be cautious of. I purchased the XL and I’m 5’10 210 and the jacket fits great everywhere except for the arms where it’s slightly too long. I would have sized down but the large was to tight in the chest. That said it fits perfectly when used with layers but I’m just wearing my lightweight underneath it feels like I’m swimming in the arms. For anyone thinking about purchasing this item it’s definitely worth but just pay attention to the fitment guide as it is accurate.

Fantastic jacket for high country

Fantastic jacket for high country sheep hunt where winds would come up. It is an excellent outer layer. I appreciate the build quality and the thoughtfulness that went into it's design.

Awesome Jacket

Lives up to all the hype. It’s great in almost every way. One small thing I’d like to see is either adjustable or slightly tighter cuffs as they’re pretty loose. Other than that it’s awesome.

Customer for life

I purchased my Jetstream jacket in 2017 for a fishing trip to AK. I’ve worn it in the spring and fall since. The zipper failed in 2025 so I sent in in for repair. Imagine my surprise when I received a brand new jacket under the Sitka warranty. Great products; great company.
