Great wind protection
I’ve worn it on several deer and waterfowl hunts in the Midwest. Does a great job of cutting the wind and my core stays warm with proper layers. Without being able to clamp the cuffs down though wind comes up the sleeve and cools my lower arms but overall a great layering piece.

Used this on a 5 day backcountry elk hunt. Excellent wind blocking characteristics, great durability and features (pit zips, pockets, general arrangement,etc. ). This jacket works perfectly as part of a Sitka system. 1 star removed for fabric noise. I have heard that this jacket quiets down with use and washing but time will tell.

Not cocklebur friendly.
Have this jacket in a couple of color variants. But I was using the blaze orange to pheasant hunt and I can’t get the cockleburs out. I can get the “ball” part off the jacket but the small needle like won’t easily come out of the jacket.

Everything is great except the most important part, the zipper
Unfortunately I took it out for the very first time and the second day the zipper snagged on my bino harness and tore a few teeth out. It made zipping it up past a point a huge ordeal that involved taking my harness off so I could properly align it. But everything else about it is as good as advertised.

Does a fantastic job with windstop. I feel like this jacket fits true to size and allows for a kelvin jacket under but not much more without compressing the loft. Little noise to start, hoping after a season of use the noise will quite down. More noise than a stratus, less than a kelvin. Overall, it’s a very important piece in my lineup.

I do like the jacket but my issue is with the logistics. Although I saw the price on the Canadian website; prices were in US currency which added 40% to the cost. The additional cost to cross into Canada added a further $100. So in the end my price nearly double. I realize the cost to enter Canada has nothing to do with Sitka but it would have been more transparent for the site to indicate US currency. A short note is all that is required. Jacket itself is top notch.

Great Jacket! Works well as an outer shell for cold season hunting.
I wore this jacket as an outer layer on a late season elk hunt in Colorado. I was looking for something windproof and water resistant and this jacket is excellent! Stopped the windchill in the morning and the pit vents were great in the warmer afternoons during hikes. For reference, I'm 5'11" and 200lbs. I tried both L and XL. L would have fit perfect for everyday wear, but I sized up to XL to leave room for layers, which worked perfect. Highly recommend!

Sizing has changed, but the jacket has been bulletproofed
The new design of the Jetstream features stretchy cuffs and an improved, durable shell across the chest and arms. My last one was a little snug, so I ordered a size up - I had to exchange it because they improved the fitment of the Jetstream as well. The new version is much more durable and perfect for layering. They’ve taken a premium jacket and developed it into its ultimate form.

I can see why this is the flagship jacket

Less is more!
