Nice job Sitka. Keeps me warm on those cold nights out in the woods

Even better than I expected.

I was wondering if you would be able to unzip the arm holes from the inside and yes you can. I am 6’ tall with big feet so I bought the long bag to get my feet more room and it fits me perfectly. Very comfortable, very warm, very light. I am happy to have bought this bag. I have struggled to find a good sleeping bag for elk hunting in September and this bag is going to work for me for many years to come.

Kelvin Aerolite 30 Sleeping Bag

I had been looking for a new sleeping bag to use for backcountry hunting in Montana and found several positive reviews about this one online. I have the Kelvin Aerolite Vest and I really like it so I decided to order this sleeping bag. I haven’t had a chance to use it in the field yet but it seems to be a really well made bag. I really like that it has arm holes and I think that’ll be a nice feature to have around camp. I’m 6’2” and ordered the “long” size. As others have said, if you are 6’ or taller you’ll definitely want the long.

Excellent build quality , light weight , compressible. Innovative design and very practical application. Synthetic material is nice for holding heat in wet conditions. Purchased on sale , worth every penny at that price. Fit me perfectly 5 ‘ 11” -205 lbs (long size). I would not recommend for anyone much larger than myself as it could feel abit restricted. Overall very happy with it.

One for me and one for the wife. On the couch watching a movie, backyard fire pit, camping, me when I go hunting. Can easily see using it for kids sporting events when they get older too. The bag is so sick. Get one.

The BEST bag I’ve ever used

This bag is the most versatile piece of sleeping gear I own. Very satisfying to waking up and start your morning without having to be shocked by the cool morning air. I will be recommending this bag every chance I get.

I havent used this bag yet but the fit and feel of this bag in just trying it in my house feels great and warms up fast.

Super warm and love the fact you can use it as a heavy jacket with the roll up and clip. Super convenient! Ended up buying a second for my daughter as well. Absolutely recommended.

Get the longer size if 6'

I am 6 ft tall weight 180lbs and got the regular size. After trying it on for size I will be exchanging it for a size long. It was too tight on tops of shoulders and bottom tips of toes for my comfort and would not allow space at bottom of feet to place socks or warm Nalgene bottle at night to warm/ dry out feet/socks. In all fairness the regular size says 6' max and I feel it's spot size as I am 6'.

Got this bag for a MO bowhunting trip in November. Temps were in the 20's and 30's at night in my tent. I slept in my heavyweight bottoms and fanatic hoody on the coolest nights. My feet would get a little cold at times but were fine elsewise. The bag is super lightweight and packs down small. When fully zipped the bag didn't allow for much leg and arm movement but I am taller and was just fine if it was unzipped slightly. If needing to use in colder temps I would bring an additional blanket. Would reccomend to others looking for a nice low bulk sleeping bag!

I found this sleeping bag

I found this sleeping bag extremely comfortable and very warm, at times a little too warm while sleeping in about 50 degrees with a light shirt and sweatpants. I did find myself a little claustrophobic the first night as I had other bag zipped up fully. I am 6’ 1” and 225 pounds, I did find the bag was a little smaller in the shoulder area the I would have preferred. I bought the long fit sleeping bag just to ensure plenty of leg room. The 2nd night, I had on a long sleeved shirt, unzipped the arm holes and found the nights sleep much more comfortable. I would recommend a smaller stuff sack than what the sleeping bag comes with. I am very happy with this purchase.

Excellent bag

Got this for the general elk hunt. I love ow light it is. Used it down to the low 20’s temp wise. Very warm. Great as a stand alone bag. Plan to use on a backpack hunt next year. So far it has lived up to the Sitka reputation for quality and durability.

My favorite bag

It is well constructed and very roomy for when you need to add layers to go into colder temps. I appreciate the arm holes and the ability to walk in it. I have not used it for glassing yet, but i can see that this is a great way to make use of the features of the bag.

Cold at the lower limit

I sleep warm and brought this backcountry with my son for one night early rifle elk. It got down to low thirties and I woke up a lot due to being cold. Will be a good warm weather bag for him. Too small for me. 6’1” 215 lbs ( broad shoulders ).

Mostly good

Had a chance to use this on a week long canoe trip in Northern Saskatchewan and I was pretty pleased with its performance. I was comfortable every night but did find that the legs seem too restrictive. If the sizing was bigger then I’d say this would rate a 5/5.

Light, Relatively Warm But...

Need to get rid of the tailored cut to the shoulders and hoodie style hood. It really needs more of a traditional style head/shoulders with draft collar. That would make for a overall more comfortable bag. The concept itself is really good and I used this bag on two hunts between August and September with no issues in cold; just wearing more layering in September to compensate for colder temps. That snug fitting hood design though isn't for me and I'll be selling the bag to finance something else.

Ya'll hit it out of the park with this sleeping bag design!!! Solves SO many problems with usual sleeping bags! I use it backpacking. Soft, comfortable, warm, zippers don't snag, and for us side sleepers allows us to flop around freely without tying ourselves into a knot!! You will not regret buying this bag!!

Have only spent one night

Have only spent one night in this, but I can tell that I love everything about it already. It will be great to get a colder version of this bag and one with a stuff sack included, but the bells and whistles that this bag has to offer are well worth the 5-star review.

Soccer moms unite! Perfect for miserably cold and windy soccer games especially the high school soccer season which is played in the dead of winter. Keeps everything but my nose toasty and without a million layers of clothes!

LOVE IT! The ability to have my arms out and be zipped up is a game changer for me. Never liked being zipped head to toe into a sleeping bag. Wasn't looking for anything when I came across it. I am REALLY glad I did. Reading the other reviews, they are correct when it comes to packing it down.

Hesitant to spend this much

Hesitant to spend this much $ on a 30 degree bag, but holy crap...worth every penny. 35 degrees and rain on the Alaska tundra. My feet stuck out of the bed of my truck all night and the bag became soaking wet...my feet stayed warm and dry for the entirety. The zippered armholes...I don't know if I'll ever be able to get into a bag that doesn't have them again. HIGHLY recommended.

Great bag but the pack

Great bag but the pack is terrible. Should come with a compressible bag like every other sleeping system out there. I ended up returning mine in hopes for a new and improved model soon.

I tested this sleeping bag

I tested this sleeping bag out this weekend. I slept outside under the stars and never once felt cold as the temperature dropped to a breezy 40°F. In fact, I was a little too warm at first. The zipper down the middle and the zippers for arms is an absolutely genius design. I was able to reach for my water or headlamp without having to open up the sleeping bag and let out all the heat. Whenever I needed to get up in the middle of the night to answer nature's call, I simply opened up the bottom, hooked the bottom up, and walked out to do my business. The next morning I spent the greater part of 3 hours walking around the cold campsite with my sleeping bag while everyone else was bundled up shivering. I was skeptical at first, but this sleeping bag proved its worth very quickly.

This is the most important

This is the most important change to sleep systems in the last 10 years. Watch as everyone else starts to copy Sitka's brillance. Maybe a future down version please. I'd love to help test it.

It’s light, it’s compressible, it’s synthetic (bombproof performance), and it’s extremely versatile for a wide range of temps when used as suggested as part of the system. I’ll be ordering another as my wife stole my first one.

This bag is meant to function with your clothing system so you don’t have to have a -(30) degree bag that is heavy… you use the puffy to augment the bag since you’ll need your puffy as an integral part of your system — why don’t people pay attention to the functionality and design?!
