Why We Made This

Traditional waterproof handwear separates the fingers in a glove construction, often leading to cold, stiff and non-responsive hands. Our strategy was to design a mitten that delivered insulated warmth with a 100% waterproof shell for static scenarios such as glassing. We combined the waterproof prowess of GORE-TEX® 3-layer laminate construction with the insulating power of PrimaLoft® to provide ultimate hand warmth. The shell and liner can also be worn independent of each other to adapt to the fluid conditions of big game pursuits in late-season conditions.

Used these gloves along with the traverse glove as a liner this year on a Late Season Idaho Elk & Deer hunt. These gloves will never leave my pack again on a Late Season hunt. The combination worked better than expected. I even wore these gloves on the horse early mornings. Important note however, these gloves weigh less than half the weight listed. Listed: 18.4 oz for size: L. Actual weight: 8.8 oz for size XL. The listed weight on these has been the ONLY thing keeping me from ordering a pair. Wish I had picked up a set a long time ago. They're wonderful!

These gloves are pretty darn nice. My only issue is they don't feel like they are supported by the typical Gore-Tex features. When hiking in snow I've had them quickly become wet internally. They still kept my hands warm, but once wet they are difficult to put back on once removed. When you pay $300 for a pair of gloves you have fairly high expectations. I'd say these fell short by a small amount.

I wore wool inserts under these in -20 and my hands never got cold - amazing product. I would like it if they had a string attached so you could throw them off and have them still attached to your body.

A little disappointed. I own the mountain glove and gradient glove in a medium and they fit perfect. I got these gloves in a medium and the inside insulating layer cuts into the meaty portion of my hand between my thumb and pointer fingers making the gloves fairly uncomfortable. Otherwise, the rest of the glove is great. Warm, sturdy construction. Simply cut/sewn a little too close to the thumb making them uncomfortable.

Holy hot dang! These mitts are the bees knees, I wore them on a buffalo hunt in the Northwest Territories in February and not for one moment were my hands cold! With enough room to layer I coupled them with the Traverse glove for those moments when I need the dexterity and they were super comfortable! With all the talk about the heat of the glove, they did not overheat my hands causing unwanted sweating, so all in all a complete win!

Seem durable as I use them more than just for hunting. Enough room for additional layering if needed.
