Incredibly light and warm

This jacket is lightweight and rolls up perfectly for storing in your pack for expected or unexpected weather. Incredibly warm for something so light.

MUCH WARMER THAN ANTICIPATED

I bought this jacket to have a "lighter" puffy to wear from our mild Louisiana winter. This thing is great!!! Much warmer than I ever imagined. Wore it on vacation in New York as well as planning to pack it on an upcoming backcountry elk hunt in Montana this October.

Awesome Jacket

This jacket is super warm and super light. Best of both worlds is usually hard to find but this one knocks it out of the park! Great job Sitka crew!

Needed a packable coat for an elk hunt it packs down to small ball and is warm can’t wait to use it

Comfortable and lightweight

Very lightweight but warm and comfortable. Looking forward to using in the back country. I’m 6’3 240. Usually run 2xl on most of my jackets, for this one I got a xl just for a more true fit to have a pack and or chest harnes on. Still have enough room for lite layers underneath.

Super packable backcountry jacket you don't want to hunt without!

This jacket is truly amazing! It is hands down the best packable ultralight jacket I have owned. It is just the right insulating layer for hiking and glassing on my backcountry hunts. It is hard to believe it weighs only 13. 6 oz. When I compress it down it's like I'm stuffing a water bottle in my pack. If you are into the warmth-to-weight ratio thing and don't want to waste valuable pack space. . . . . well grab this one quick! You definitely won't regret it!!!

Micro down is the way to go.

Nothing but the beat

No warmth

Im real surprised the ratings for this are as high as they are. Warmth similar to a long sleeve nothing more. Have been a big fan of sitka for years but was very disappointed in this jacket. I work for an outfitter in New Mexico and this provides no warmth unless you layer with five other layers. Have had many down jackets made by competitors at similar price points and never had issues with warmth till this.

Light weight and warm

The new microdown hooded jacket is as described. However the fit is not Sitka worthy. Everyone makes hunting gear some better than others. But I have come to know Sitka gear as best fitting gear out there, true athletic fit. The kind of gear I could rock climb with or hunt with. I have used the synthetic lightweight jackets for years and have loved them. I wish Stika would use the same template for this piece.

This jacket is super light and comfortable. Also super warm I wear it everyday in the spring and fall on my guided fishing trips.

I’m 5’ 9’, 170 lbs, with a fairly athletic build and the medium fits perfectly and looks cool. Wish the hood came off so it would work better under other jackets but not that big of a deal.

This Jacket serves as extra

This Jacket serves as extra insulation when I don't want to wear a heavy Jacket. In most cases I put it over a fleece and gain what I need for warmth. My only two complaints would be, I wish it had a small visor to protect my glasses from precipitation and secondly a little more durable outer shell. I'm always concerned that it is going to get snagged and end up with a tear or a hole. Otherwise I'm very happy with the garment and all of Sitka gear.

Lightweight, warm, packable. I love to layer under shells as needed and this performs perfectly for those brisk mornings. Somehow whenever I get a new favorite puffy I seem to splatter grease on it or catch it on fire. Rest assured disaster averted and it washed out and is looking good again!

MicroDown Hooded Jacket

Jacket is lightweight and packs down small. With merino t shirt and merino 330 3/4 zip the jacket is good down to 30 degrees for me. Even if a little windy. Below that I get a little chilly.

I will put it to you like this, I have a young puppy, he has not been able to make little pin holes in this jacket with his nails. That’s not to say he hasn’t tried. It’s stood up quite well so far.

Excellent value when on sale for $180

I was lucky and able to get this jacket on sale from $180. It is an excellent packable mid layer also great on its own. One drawback, not very durable. It will rip on brush etc.

Deceptively Warm

Super lightweight but incredibly warm and cuts a lot of the wind. Ran slightly larger than my old puffer coat in the same size.
