I purchased this down jacket to take on a European trip. Traveling to different areas and not knowing what type of weather we could be encountering, I wanted a jacket that would be lightweight, packable and yet capable of providing warmth when needed. This jacket fit all of those bills!

MicroDown Hooded Jacket

Very versatile jacket. I wear mine traveling a lot, because temperature’s in one state in the morning can be very different several states away in the afternoon. This jacket works for several weather conditions. Not to mention it can be stuffed in a backpack on the fly and pulled out and barely any signs of wrinkles.

Was a little worried when I opened it and saw how thin it was. Definitely impressed me as I was never cold wearing it! I'm glad I purchased it!

Stay out and stay warm

This jacket is so perfect to either wear alone or layer. I use it underneath my other Sitka gear so I can stay out longer. My friend always says you can’t kill a deer from your couch. His point is valid. You can’t be successful if your gear causes you to stay home. Most times when your schedule allows you to hunt you can’t say no because of the weather and your lack of great gear. Buying Sitka is not cheap but it’s designed to allow you to always say yes, let’s go hunting.

Best lightweight insulating layer I've bought. Own a farm in Macon, GA. . . wide range of temps and precip. This jacket could fold up in my pocket or keep me warm all morning in a stand with a light outer.

Perfect Layer.

Kept me warm during several long days in the stand deer hunting. Able to wear as top layer when weather changed and snow melted away. Wore it under safety vest in stand. Wore it under thicker outer shell when late season pheasant hunting to protect from briars and thorns. Easy to put in pack. Great gear.

Love this jacket. Warmth to weight ratio is unreal. I use this as my backpacking puffy. The only negative I found and really is t a huge deal is it is a little tight in the armpit area, outside of that it’s a fantastic piece of gear.

Most jackets have long sleeves but this jacket fits me just right. I wanted an extremely packable yet capable jacket and I got it.

Love this down jacket. If it’s a wet environment, I will take my Kelvin aero lite. If it’s cold and dry, the micro down is coming with me. I feel that it’s much warmer than the Kelvin. Definitely not as warm as my hyper down. It’s a good in the middle down jacket that is cut generously. Unlike the Kelvin, which runs on the smaller side.

Micro Down Hooded Jacket

I honestly love this product so far, I’ve used it as a mid layer out fishing when it was pretty cold and windy. I can also use it as an out layer on my walks to school and it’s easy to pack away in my backpack. Overall great quality and thin but still very warm. A little loose in the belly but rather loose than too tight. Also if you have longer arms you might want to try a longer sleeve length.

It’s one of my favorite items I bought from Sitka . Super warm and lite. I pack it in my fanny pack and use it when I need it. Also it super classy looking to wear out on the town

It’s not been cold enough to test it. Fits well and very light and compact-able. Fits slightly big, but I’m confident it will live up to the Sitka name.

Micro Down Hooded Jacket

Very light and warm for a puffy jacket. Great for back pack. Highly recommended if you need static insulation or a puffy jacket. I recommend getting a solid color so you can wear anytime.

Awesome puffy, packs down to nothing, can fit inside it’s own pocket. if your arms are on the top edge of the sizing, go with the Tall option, because there’s no stretch in this fabric it will ride up your arms.
