MicroDown Hooded Jacket Reviews

Cant beat Down

I have other Sitka insulation layers but there something about real down you cant beat. Great fit and perfect fall layer.

Sitka does it again

This is my 2nd Sitka product and once again they nailed. Love it when a product lives up to expectation and hype.

Micro Down

Nice product. If you have an athletic but short build runs long.

Love 💕 it!!!

It’s one of my favorite items I bought from Sitka . Super warm and lite. I pack it in my fanny pack and use it when I need it. Also it super classy looking to wear out on the town

It’s not been cold enough

It’s not been cold enough to test it. Fits well and very light and compact-able. Fits slightly big, but I’m confident it will live up to the Sitka name.

Micro Down Hooded Jacket

Very light and warm for a puffy jacket. Great for back pack. Highly recommended if you need static insulation or a puffy jacket. I recommend getting a solid color so you can wear anytime.

Super comfortable coat. True to size! A+++

Awesome puffy, packs down to

Awesome puffy, packs down to nothing, can fit inside it’s own pocket. if your arms are on the top edge of the sizing, go with the Tall option, because there’s no stretch in this fabric it will ride up your arms.

Great for camping

Great base layer or light jacket. Great addition to camping or early hunting bow season

The Microdown hooded jacket at

The Microdown hooded jacket at first I thought was basically the same as the kelvin lite down jacket. But once I got it out in the field I quickly realized how nice and warm this jacket is.

Warm, Comfortable, & Packable

I wore this several mornings and evenings while archery hunting here in Colorado. It took up very little space in my pack compared to my synthetic jackets while keeping me comfortably warm during mornings below or near freezing. The shell fabric is quiet for a down jacket. However, not silent. Sizing is perfect for typical layering increasing versatility in variable conditions. Well done, Sitka.

Great product, great service!

The folks there worked extremely hard to help me utilize my gift code and followed through exceptionally well in getting me the product I ordered in a timely manner. It's a pleasure dealing with this company!

Perfect Lightweight Puffy for Early Season Mountai

The Microdown Hooded Jacket has earned a permanent spot in my backcountry kit after putting it through its paces during my early season archery elk hunt at 10,000 feet. This piece really shines in that sweet spot where you need reliable warmth without the bulk of a heavy winter puffy. What impressed me most was the excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. The jacket packs down small in my pack but delivers impressive warmth when temperatures drop, especially during those chilly predawn stalks and evening glassing sessions. I've tested it comfortably down to 35°F, and I'm confident it would perform well into the low 30s when layered properly. The fit allows for full range of motion while drawing my bow, and the hood provides just enough coverage without compromising peripheral vision. The jacket stays quiet in the field, which is essential for bowhunting. For early season mountain hunts where weight matters but you can't compromise on warmth, this jacket hits the mark perfectly. It's become my go-to insulation piece for September/October hunts where conditions can change quickly, and you need reliable protection without overheating during active periods. Bottom line: If you're looking for that perfect early season puffy that balances packability, warmth, and functionality, the Microdown Hooded Jacket deserves serious consideration.
