Perfect fit, snug but not too tight, not too thick. If anything they are a little too high, but not bad. I just don't pull them all the way up. And I'm pretty tall. But otherwise love them and I tried a lot of different socks - socks and boots can make or break on long hikes.

Finally a pair of socks that stay in place during all day hikes. Most over the calf socks have a thin elastic band that fails miserably to hold the sock in place. I've worn these socks for 3 months now, and have replaced all other outdoor socks with them. Comfortable and remain in position.

The last day of the season in Alabama was negative temps, snowing, frozen duck holes and a cold ride in. I found a hole in my waders VERY early that morning but I was leaving. These socks were soaked and still kept my feet mostly warm for the weight.
