I bought the xl this time. If you are size 11, get the ones that are for 12 and up. You’ll be happier. My first purchase I got the L and they fit a bit tight and short. The XL are perfect if you re a size 11

Just enough warmth and comfort!
This is the first pair of wool socks I have ever owned and man I wish I had bought some sooner. They are just the right amount of warmth and comfort for me. I wear an mens 8. 5-9 size shoe and the mediums were perfect. Only downside I have noticed is the wool is breaking down rather quickly in the heel. Time will tell the quality of socks!

Mid Weight OTC Sock is a very warm boot sock
The Mid Weight OTC Sock served me well in my GTX boots during the February snow storms in Colorado Springs, they feel a little stiff while putting them on, but very comfortable in the boot and wearing them all day, they kept me from having cold feet thoughts.

By far the best performance socks I've ever used.
We all know wool socks are warm, and great at minimizing the stinky sock factor, but where many fail is long term durability, or for me the biggest frustration has always been the fit, especially after being washed and dried. They always seem to shrink and deform and you can’t get them on your feet anymore! To me the biggest ‘finally’ moment when testing the Sitka OTC Socks was not only good initial performance and fit, but after a season of hard use, wearings, washings, I can still easily put them on my feet without feeling like I’m forcing my feet into them. Such a win. By far the best performance socks I've ever used.

They quickly became my favorite.
While using the new socks the thing that really stood out to me on these socks versus the other brands that I have used in the past is how well they held up during a 8 day hunt when I had to wear them multiple days in a row. The socks not only held up to the abuse of hiking the mountains, but they didn't smell after 4 to 5 days of straight use. Every night I would take them off and hang them in my tent and every morning they were dry and didn't smell. I was very impressed with them. I used them for close to 30 days this past elk season and they quickly became my favorite.
