Can't weight to put it to use, it comfortable and fits well. Small enough for day treks, but still large enough for couple day pack ins.

Velcro will rip your clothes' sleeves to shreds

On each side of the hip belt is a heavy velcro setup (presumably for attaching accessories). This velcro will pull fibers from almost anything you are wearing as your arms brush against it while hiking. I am going to cut all this off the pack before I trash anymore clothes.

One Tough Pack

My first trip with this pack was on a grueling 14 mile, 5,000’ in elevation change and very rainy hike. I had the pack loaded at about 20lbs with emergency essentials only for a cold rainy spring hike. By mile 10 my gear had become completely saturated except for the pack which was only a bit damp on the inside from me opening it up to grab things. My gear inside stayed dry and the comfort of the pack was 10/10 even with me being soaked and not having the best fit.

Very comfortable and excellent pocketing. I especially love the Velcro straps on the waist belt, they are the best way I’ve found to carry bear spray so it is accessible without swinging around. Same goes for knives. Would be cool if the buckles were designed to be compatible with the optic harness, I always wear the two together and removing both to delayer/layer up is somewhat of a hassle.

Tough backpack

Very pleased with this backpack! Survived a terrible 4-wheeler accident (rolling end over end down a mountain), on a caribou hunt. A few months later, used the pack on a black tail deer hunt, on Kodiak. Tough pack, and easy to adjust.

Sturdy for the size but not suitable for women

I got this bag to replace my flash pack 20 that was ready to retire. I love the fabric on this bag, the material seems like it will be able to endure many hunts in thick country. Haven’t had much rain but the sprinkle we did have rolled right off. This little pack seems to punch above its class compared to other packs this size. It has a frame on the back portion (but no shelf) so I figured it was the perfect amount of support for a deboned axis deer I like the placement of the pockets more than I thought I would, it’s easy to access the top pocket even with a bow strapped on The downsides for me are these two things: There needs to be one more cross strap near the top of bag exterior for strapping on your bow. Otherwise it will wobble. I ended up mcgyvering the side straps to make them come across to support my bow. The biggest issue I’m having with the bag is that the waist band does not cinch tight enough. I’m not used to having hunting gear that exceptionally fits women, but I’m not even sure how a slim man would use this. My back starts to ache toward the end of a long hunt as no pressure is being relieved across the hips. The chest strap is also too long on one side, so one more contact point that isn’t relieving weight from the shoulders. I’m open to making other adjustments but the waist band is at the smallest it will go. Would fit a dad bod perfectly and I imagine would be comfortable if fitted correctly.

Perfect for Moose, Elk and Whitetail Hunting

I bought this pack for elk hunting to carry all my warm clothes and rain gear so I could strip down when hiking the 3 to 5 miles to my to where I sit all day without getting everything sweaty. Amazingly this bag can take it all and keep it dry even in the rain. The shoulder straps and belt are very comfortable and keep everything nice and tight to your back without straining your shoulders. I even use it for whitetail hunting now because my old cotton pack, while quiter , held too much scent resulting in me being busted half the time. This is definitely the best and most versatile bag I have ever owned.

Disappointed

Got this as a replacement through the warranty program for my old pack. The warranty process was very easy but they changed the material from my old pack and it is the loudest material you could possibly make a pack out of. Very disappointing and quality has gone down hill.

Backpack was nice for long walks. Truly liked it’s space and feel.

This pack has Velcro straps

This pack has Velcro straps on the waist strap. The Velcro is slightly exposed. When I’m hiking and my arms move back and forth my jacket rubbed on the Velcro until it wore a hole in my jacket. This is a design flaw that needs to be addressed, I can’t afford to buy a new jacket every year, and I would hope Sitka would replace my kelvin lite jacket

Comfortable, durable, lightweight yet well built, this pack can haul as much as you want to carry. Thinking about buying the 4000 next for a little more room for multi-day trips. 10/10 recommend!

Great pack, just another piece of gear that’ll keep me coming back to Sitka.

Very loud

This is the loudest piece of gear I own. Anything the bag touches will create a ton of noise. Used it for backcountry mule deer and elk, easily spooked anything just hiking in. If you need anything inside of the bag get it out before your hunt due to the volume of the material. It is very comfortable to train and hike in, if you load the pack down the frame squeaks less. Ended up stashing the pack against a tree and coming back for it during breaks.

Great backpack. Lots of room.

The 2700 is a great backpack for a day or multi day trips. The 2700 equates to about 44 liters. There are plenty of pockets for lots of gear. Fits snug around the waist which will carry most of the load. Definitely recommend!

This pack is so comfy compared to my Ku.., I no longer use the other. It fits great, is waterproof, and can’t say enough good things about this pack.

MTN Hauler 2700

I love this bag! It will suit my scouting and peak bagging missions very well. Seeing as it is not adjustable in the torso/yoke, I got lucky that it fits me perfectly. The only downside to this bag is that it's pretty dang noisy. That being said, the material is very robust and I expect this bag to last for a very long time.
