Took this baby on a Colorado hunt 2 weeks ago and did great full of gear! But also took this bad boy on top of Mount Sherman during yesterday's hike full of my gear, bladder, foam seat pads and the fam's extra food and gear with med kits! 14,036 ft in elevation sir! Well made pack! Thanks Sitka!!!!

I have not used this pack yet but the functionality appears to be nice. The reason for the low rating is the appearance from the moment I looked at it. The heavier material that is used in the high contact areas is a completely different color than the main shell. Appearance of the product makes it look like a misprint or something that should be sold as a factory defect.

I’ve put this pack through pure hell. I know it’s designed as a “day pack” but it can be much more. I’ve packed out an antelope and 2 whitetails this season alone while over 2 miles from the truck, while only making 1 trip each time. Nothing has ripped and the zippers have held up. Didn’t think I’d ever write a review on anything ...but I’m pretty impressed to say the least.

Great day pack, and possibly an overnight. I used the pack on a Northwoods Maine hunting trip and was able to carry multiple layers, rain gear and equipment for a full day hunt almost 20 miles. It’s durable and comfortable.

Haven’t Used it for hunting yet as I bought it out of season. I have however loaded it up and wear is as much as possible on hikes etc. It o break it in and get a good feel for it. Sits really well, doesn’t sag and I don’t feel like I need micro breaks when I use it. I think it’ll be absolutely perfect for whitetail hunting that requires me hiking in and field dressing.

Would of liked to see more internal pockets. The one pocket is good for a first aid kit. I improvised with a hip bag for my possible. Storing that inside the bag.

Let me start by saying I own almost all Sitka hunting gear and love it so the next step was replacing my badlands pack with the mountain pack. My badlands pack feels better made both stitching and fabric wise but the 2700 meets all my requirements for packing. If it was constructed of heavier material it would have easily become my favourite hunting pack.
