Love the fit and color of this jacket. I ordered a size medium and the fit was perfect. The only negative comment I have is that I think the front zipper could be slightly more substantial for a jacket in this price range. In terms of comfort, sizing and warmth, it gets 5 stars.

I read many comments here that the jacket was running big. So I ordered a Large when I’m an XL. HUGE MISTAKE. This jacket ran true to size. It’s very warm and exactly as described. Love it!!

The sizing is horrible. Size Large fit perfect on my arms and armpits, but the torso was like a tent. If you have skinny arms and a beer belly, this jacket might fit you. I got this jacket on sale for 50% off and still couldn't convince myself to keep it. Also felt pretty meager for warmth. Check it out in person. Don't buy this online.

I loved this jacket and hopes that it would work out. Everything about this jacket was great…except for the arm holes. They were way too small. Even ordered another size up in hopes the arm holes would be bigger…nope. The jacket was jammed into my armpits . If this was corrected, it would be amazing.

This is my first Sitka product - I am entering the hunting world as a lifelong hiker and backcountry enthusiast. I heard about Sitka quality and decided to replace my Mountain Hardwear puffer jacket. For the same list price, this jacket is clearly more durable, warmer, and fits better than my previous jacket. I have seen a lot of concerns about sizing among the reviews - this fits me perfectly at 6’3” 205, size large. The fit may not be perfect for everyone, but the quality and features for the price are outstanding. I am looking forward to buying more Sitka gear!

Three stars for sizing, otherwise great jacket if it fits your body. Quality, warmth and look are great for a day to day jacket. I am 5'9' 175, and tried both large and medium. My opinion is the sizing is not balanced, smaller in the armpits and shoulders and larger around the belly. I am similarly built to the model guy in the photos and normally wear large, but large was extremely baggy in the mid section. The medium fit great everywhere, except the armpits where it was way too tight (especially while holding the steering wheel of a car for example). If you look close in the model photos I think you can tell he's wearing a size down and its tight in the armpits. I have the Dewpoint jacket and pants in large and those fit me great, so don't go off the sizing of more technical gear you might own. If your mid section is a bit larger and your shoulders and lats are smaller, this is probably a great jacket for you. I'm by no means in awesome shape, very average, but shoulder and armpit area is just sized too small.

I was already a believer in the quality of Sitka's hunting clothing so the decision to try an everyday jacket was an easy one. This jacket is lightweight and extremely warm. The fit is more relaxed than their hunting clothing which is clearly stated in the item description. The jackets blocks the wind completely and sheds light rain like a champ. I highly recommend this jacket.

average jacket - quality is ok, but stictching, material, build, I think not reflective. Also, as someone else previously mentioned, odd that the armpit opening on the smaller side and rides up into the armpit. precludes layering with sweaters. maybe I received an outlier, as the majority of reviews here seem glowing.

Pretty disappointed with this jacket. I am a fan of Sitka Gear and have not been let down in the past, but this jacket does not meet the usual mark. I ordered a size large, and the fit is uncomfortable and baggy. There is a lot of excess material that does not fit well. As for warmth and wind protection, it does a very good job. The technology absolutely exceeds expectations. It is just a shame to spend top dollar on gear that does not fit correctly.

This jacket is my new go to for fighting off the bite of the cold high desert winter. It’s a great balance between the Gradient work jacket and the Kelvin lite down jacket. For reference I’m 5’ 11” and 175lbs with an athletic build and the size large in all the jackets and base layers fit me perfectly. For the fit, the sleeves are snug like the Kelvin, but the body is more loose fitting like the Gradient work jacket, however it does have a draw string at the base to snug up the bottom to keep out the draft, it’s also about two inches longer than the Kelvin so it doesn’t ride up in the back as easily. The hood is loose fitting which I prefer over the snug fitting hoods of their big game gear. The loose fitting body is nice for layering a vest under if you plan on shedding the jacket mid day. My only wish is that the external fabric is a little more durable, (hence the four stars instead of five) it rips easily if snagged on something. Regardless, it’s thought to beat the fit and function of this jacket.

I was looking for a hooded puffer to replace an old favorite Mountain Hardware jacket. Unfortunately none on the big outdoor gear companies - MH, North Face, Patagonia, etc - make a quality jacket with enough down to make it warm. Enter this jacket. I’ve been extremely pleased with the performance of this jacket. It will keep you very warm even if just wearing short sleeves under it. The pocket liners are VERY soft and comfortable. Easy to pull the hood tighter on the head. Only 2 minor complaints. 1 - the hood is a bit big unless you’re wearing a heavy beanie. But with a jacket this warm, I usually am wearing a beanie if I need it. 2 - I got the sagebrush color. My only complaint is that when I wear khakis with it, I look a bit like a park ranger. Khaki from head to toe. If you wear khakis a lot, maybe get the other color. Overall, I highly recommend!

I bought this jacket for my husband, the temperatures have been 0 degrees this week, it came in just in time. He loves the windstopper aspect of the jacket and it is lightweight and easy to layer for the extreme cold. I almost didn't order because of some of the reviews, stating that it didn't fit well. I am glad I ordered. It fits my husband perfect: ordered an XL, he is 6' tall and 200 pounds. I think it will be his favorite cold weather jacket.

I bought this jacket in X-LARGE received it quickly and found it to be much too big. I’m 511 and 210 lb so I had to exchange it. I ordered it from Canada so I expected all sorts of fun and games exchanging the jacket, well I found the customer service to be outstanding. Lots of support quick exchange and now I have a large which fits perfectly. The only thing surpassing the customer service is the fit and function of the Rover jacket. Excellent warmth, wind protection and quality materials and workmanship. Just Ann excellent jacket and a great experience all around. Have been wearing it for 3 weeks now and it’s cold here but the jacket is working out great.

A wonderful jacket let down by terrible zippers. Look, I didn't think twice about the price of this jacket because I associate Sitka with absolute quality. The gear works, extremely well, and is priced accordingly for the materials and effort that goes into making each piece. But the zippers on this thing are maddening. They're not exactly buttery smooth, but whatever, plastic pulls and zips, it's fine. But on one pocket, the zipper consistently caught the fabric inside, ultimately tearing 4-5 holes in the liner. Then, it started catching a lot of fabric, every time I used it. The zipper pull has now fallen off, but the way Sitka designed the pocket, there isn't an easy way to reattach it (the stops of the zipper are sown over). So my insulation layer has a pocket that won't close. I've had this jacket slightly more than a month. I guess I'll sow the pocket shut? Probably for the best, even if I could get the thing back on the holes in the pocket would only get worse.

Great jacket, with small complaints. Note, I am usually right between sizes - medium, but with a larger chest (41.7' or so) than medium - most Sitka medium stuff is too small (even other 'Everyday fit' stuff) but large is way too big. This jacket is almost perfect. Chest is still a tiny bit small, I can feel it tugging a little - but that is largely because I am between sizes again. I also tried a large, but I was swimming in it. The only 'real' complaint I have is that the arm holes are a bit small, so they snug up into my armpit, which exacerbates the tight chest issue, and the 'belly' area is a bit big. Also a touch longer than I would prefer, but that's a very small thing. The material and overall design, the casual fit and style, I really love.. awesome.

Look and feel wise it was very good and the wind proof on a puffy is a game changer HOWEVER the fit on this jacket is very weird. Im 6'3 165 athletic build and have a fairly long torso, if you know Sitka you know most of their jackets are short compared to others so I have to buy a Large unless tall sizes are available (which are not on most jackets they offer). The length and arms were perfect, however the chest area was GIGANTIC, like absurdly big compared to the arms and shoulder area. Medium was to short in arms and length and even then the chest was still very roomy. this being an every day jacket it shouldnt be made to layer a ton under it or wear a vest under it but thats what it seems it was designed to do. Would be MUCH better if it had a slim fit vs regular or at least redo the room in the chest area or offer tall sizes in it. again I love sitka gear and if the fit wasnt so odd on this for my personal body it would be a great jacket!

Let me preference this with I love Sitka. It is all I wear. I wear it hunting, out with the wife, to work, literally everywhere. I feel like I understand their sizing and what and how to order depending on the need. With that said, when ordering a puffy such as the Kelvin, I know to order up (XL) for shoulders and length, and then I deal with the extra room in the torso area. This jacket doesn't fit that bill though as it is marketed in the everyday line. So you want it to be well fitting and not a lot of excess anywhere. So I ordered a Large, same size as my Grindstone. The problem is it fits like a Kelvin not a Grindstone in the shoulders and sleeve holes. Great fitting everywhere except it feels like I have rubber bands around my shoulders. So an XL would probably have been more comfortable in the shoulders but I would have been swimming everywhere else. This could be an amazing jacket if they just made the sleeve holes proportionate to the rest of the jacket. Now it will be a place holder in the closet or given away as I was an stupidly cut the tags off when I received my last order.

Fantastic jacket. Extremely warm, water and wind proof. Only downside is that the midsection is probably too big if you’re an average dude. I know that this isn’t performance fit, but still, everything fits perfect except the midsection. I ordered a large. I’m 5’9 175 muscular build.

This is a first impressions review. It’s a very comfortable soft on the skin jacket, amazingly lightweight and warm. If you’re a bigger guy this is the perfect fit. The dovetail on the back is awesome if you’re a guy with a longer torso. The puffyness part isn’t overly puffy and won’t leave you feeling like the Michelin man. I would recommend sizing down in this jacket. The sizing on it is a bit big compared to Sitka's other jackets. I have the Duck Oven Jacket and Gradient Hoodie in a medium (which fit perfectly), so I figured this would be fine in a medium as well. The arms were 3-4in too long and lots of space between my torso and the jacket. Other than that the jacket is ridiculously, ridiculously comfortable. The inside of the front pockets are super soft fleece lined and the inside lining is soft. It is extremely light too which is always a plus.
