Rover Down Jacket

It's a light, warm, comfortable jacket and its fits really well. But, I'm not a fan of the thin exterior fabric. It's definitely not something you'd want to wear out in the woods or doing ANY kind of outdoor labor...I wouldn't even trust it to not rip carrying a bunch of logs to the fire. I unfortunately passed the time frame in which I can return it. Bought it on sale and still don't think it's worth it. Honestly regretting the purchase. If you're planning on wearing it for nice occasions, it should work for you. But it is not a durable jacket IMO.

Fully featured knockaround down layer

This jacket has more features than any comparable down layer meant as a daily driver. The Gore windstopper is legit, it works. Hood fits well, especially over a ball cap. The fleece lined pockets aren't so.ething I was looking for, but they're always a nice surprise when I'm not wearing gloves.

Winter gear

I love this coat, warm and light weight. The big pockets are nice with the added fuzzy. Similar to other reviews, around the shoulders was a bit tight at first but that seemed to get better, or I got used to it. Wearing this as an everyday jacket in Wisconsin and for winter fishing. The hood is big and great, I wish there was still a drawstring for the hood, otherwise perfect.

Finally got some weather cold

Finally got some weather cold enough to give the Rover jacket a try. It out performed my expectations. It’s so light you don’t feel like you have it on. No wind goes through it and the warmth is fantastic. Fit is as stated with room to have even a sweatshirt underneath. Great job Sitka!

Quality guaranteed

There aren't many guarantees in life but I find I can safely assume anything I get from Sitka is guaranteed to be of the finest quality. The cut, the performance are always on point. This jacket is warm, wind resistant and stylish. I am a size small and every top I've purchased from Sitka has quickly worked its way into my favorites for the field. That said, I would love to see men's small size (28"/29"x30) pants-otherwise I can't find anything that can be improved upon.

Bought the Rover Down Jacket and am very impressed with quality and workmanship. Jacket is extremely warm and lightweight. Might buy another one

Overall, very happy with the jacket. Checked off all the boxes I needed- windproof, not bulky, quiet and fits correctly. Sitka jackets can run short for me at 6’ 185lbs and athletic build, typically wear a large and often they’re short even with a somewhat short torso. This fits perfect. Great length in the torso and arms, doesn’t ride up when I lift my arms. Hood sits great and easy adjustment. Only thing I’d change is to have the pockets fully fleece lined or even switch where the fleece is. Might snag another in a different color.

Could be great, but fit is off!

I really wanted to love this jacket but it'll be relegated to an expensive closet piece or donated to someone. I'm 54 yrs old athletic-muscular built 5'11" 220 lbs., broad chested and shoulders. Wear a 48-50 Sports coat that always needs to be tapered to my 34-36" waist. Arms/Torso proportional (slightly long arms). I tried on an XL (my normal fit) and XXL jacket in a local store and the XL fit better. Ordered the color I wanted online (not in store) and the XL jacket I received feels 'off' in sizing. I tried to wear and shouldn't have as I cut off the tags. I've had clothes 'break in' in the past but should have packaged it back after initial try-on. The shoulder area and arm-holes feel like I have tight rubber-bands around my armpits and the torso area feels like I could fit 2 people in this one. It's almost like they combined a Large Upper and XXL Lower on this one. If this one fit better it would be a great OA light winter jacket. As it is, I'll be shopping around for something else, yet again. Another poster mentioned the arms feeling like rubber bands under his arms and that's a great description! Wish I would have seen that before I ordered. I've had NO response f/Sitka's customer service after multiple attemps! I will look elsewhere going forward for my hunting and foul-weather gear.

Knocked it out the park.

This jacket is a great option for light weight warmth. It fits v b ery well, plenty of room to layer. But honestly it’s warm enough on its own. I purchased the tobacco color. It works very well in the field and as everyday wear.

I wanted a packable down

I wanted a packable down coat. When this came on sale, I grabbed it. It's amazing. It's so warm and lightweight. XXL fits my 6'2' 275lbs body well. It's roomy in the body for layers (not that I've needed many). The arm holes are fine for my chubby buff arms. Majority of my use is daily and fishing from a boat. I can say the windproof works well as I was ripping down the river at 40mph in March in iowa. I'm looking forward to using while in the deer woods.
