Purchased for deer hunting with crossbow, looks ideal for hanging in my ladder stand and being able to access gear easily. Really like the strap system that allows you to bring the pack around without taking it off. Although it is not marketed for deer hunting I think it will be perfect. Have been using a waist fanny pack for years but the weight on my hips has always been an issue.

If your looking for a pack that’s not to big, but not to small, you just found it. This pack is great for the blind, the field or even using it as a gym bag. It has plenty of individual compartments, plenty of room, but still compact enough to throw it on your shoulder and take off. If I had to choose one overall pack, this would definitely be it!

It is outstanding for hunting deer in archery, gun, and muzzleloader! Not to big, just the right size for my accessories such as Sitka mittens, hats, and gloves, shells, knives, muzzleloader accessories. Etc. . simple on and off! It doesn’t slide off your shoulder like other backpacks, spins easy for three pocket access without taking off.

This thing is way too small to be a waterfowl bag. Oh can fit more in your coat pockets than you can this bag. Two boxes of shells, a hat and a pair of gloves is about all this thing will hold.

Previous 5 years, have used the (guide bag) from a competitor- Orv?s… same size, the Sitka sling has much better quality zippers, they are easy to slide open/close. Sitka sling has excellent carrying capacity and easily managed & versatile compartments and of course the materials are silent.

The sling choke is nice and light and can carry with the handle or as a backpack. I can fit 3 boxes of shells, gun lube and a couple pair of gloves which is all I need. Less bulk than other bags so it’s not in my way. Very well made like all Sitka products.

This does not live up to the Sitka standard. I thought the bag was awesome until I tried it on. This is the worst sling design I have ever seen. The shoulder strap rides up my neck. The strap doesn't lay anywhere close to flat at the connection point because it's coming in at different angles. The portion of the strap that comes across the ribs flares out along the bottom and digs in along the top. All of this is made exponentially worse if you put any gear in the bag.

It’s very convenient and every pocket is well placed and has a purpose. My two complaints is that the straps are a bit long, and the stitching can come loose fairly easy if it’s being held by the main handle.

I have not gotten to use this product in the field yet, but so far it seems like it will work great. It’s a great size, with enough room for all your necessities while not being too big and bulky to carry. It’s also a great hands free option and it won’t be slipping off your shoulders.
