Great bag for when you just need something small. Has worked better than a small backpack for me. Does not have hydration compatibility but does have a large pocket for water bottle. Only issue is there is no way to tie back extra strapping. Would recommend for any day hunt or excursion.

Too small, not waterproof
This bag is fine if you want to carry 1 box of shells and maybe a hat and pair of gloves. You arenโt fitting anything more than that in here. Way too small. The one time I used it it sprinkled and my one box of shells got soaked because itโs not water resistant at all. Itโs actually more like a sponge. Iโd recommend any other bag besides this one. Only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because it is well made like all of sitkas stuff. This one just misses the mark as a good waterfowl bag.

This bag is great for frequent hunters. The sling concept is great, but the straps are a little too long. I did figure out a way you could tuck them into a slit in the buckle so it didnโt bother me anymore. The pockets are sized great for any essential items you may store in it. Lastly, the material is just what youโd expect from Sitka. Great product.

This product is most definitely
This product is most definitely sub-par for what is expected of Sitka Gear products. On the one hand (positive), the quality of materials and workmanship is superb. On the other hand, however (not so great), the design is unfortunately seriously flawed. The flaws I'm about to describe are perhaps unimportant for for individuals well over six feet tall and close to 300 pounds or so. For me, at 5' 7' and about 140 pounds (hello, folks!), it is the three-way connection point in the front of the pack that quite seriously fails the test: the upper/shoulder-to-horizontal-crossover intersection angles are totally out of whack for such sizes! The result is that the horizontal cross-over piece pulls into my body quite seriously and digs into my abdomen just below the sternum. In cold weather when I'm wearing several layers of clothes, this is not much of a problem; however, during these warmer days of spring and beginnings of summer, this is becoming a significant issue. My bottom line is that I rate this product as mediocre at best. It will probably work well enough for larger folks, especially in cooler weather; however, beyond that, caveat emptor! If the Sitka folks are interested, I am available for professional consultation regarding ways to improve this product.

Great sling, I've been using it constantly for three years! A large number of pockets allows you to store everything you need and even leave room for a couple of sandwiches. I have a few wishes: - I would like the material of the sling and the zippers to be waterproof. - We need to add the Earth color, because there are waders of this color, I also would like the color of the lead. - Very long straps, you need to figure out how to attach them so that they do not hang out and interfere. For example Velcro or elastic bands.

Great small bag that has a lot of room for hunting essentials. Did keep my stuff dry during a light rain hunt. You can easily sling the pack around you to get gear out or put inside of it. Only con for me is the waist strap but I just tuck it in the hidden pocket on the back. Great bag and I would highly recommend for any hunter!

Has everything you need for jumping ducks. I walk miles of river with this pack and I forget I have it on. It has a built in lanyard for my ducks as well to keep my hands free. When Iโm not jumping ducks itโs got handles so I can use it like a blind bag. Great Product !

I love Sitka and have many products. This bag is great, but I have 2 complaints. 1. The stitch angle of the waist to shoulder strap (female attachment on waist portion) is made for a super wide human, which causes all stress to be put on a single sti tch, causes it to pull up. 2. A lot of leftover straps, just hanging there, which isnt too terrible bc I can cut those and get them sewed over. I can get used to those 2 things, I use it for fly fishing, but will try it out this season in Missouri in the blind.

First purchase from Sitka Gear. After an intensive search for the right sized pack for Tethered (Saddle) hunting - this is the one. Great design and built to last. I am using this pack for archery and gun season. The Sling Choke works well in Timber or Elevated environments and holds everything the minimalist needs for the day. The pack even has room for my Predator Platform, water, deer calls, food, and other stuff I need at the ready. Best of all, it is light and easy to climb with worn on the front or back. Once at shooting height, I hang it in the horizontal position, and now all zipped pockets are easy to access.

I replaced my blind bag
I replaced my blind bag after 12 years. I hunt public land and early season when you may have to walk to flooded areas that the birds are using this was great. The different pockets made it easy to access all your gear and thereโs enough space for everything. The bag stays put with the waist buckle and this is key as most know when you are accessing those hard to reach places of the marsh you donโt want it moving around too much.

I like this bag quite
I like this bag quite a bit. I have loaded it with as many as 3 boxes of shells, but 2 really boxes fit perfectly, especially if you add in a thermos. Still it had room for gloves, calls, hats, etc. the only thing I would tweak would be the main strap where it joins the waist belt. The angle needs to be changed a little to make it lay flatter, but Iโm nitpicking at that point. I also used it as a personal item on the plane and they didnโt make me count it as a carry on, so with a little clever packing you can avoid checking a bag.

Used the bag for a
Used the bag for a few hunts this season. I purchased it to replace a lowepro sling camera bag that was used as my blind and camera bag. The bag has three compartments. The smallest fits my keys and wallet/hunting license, the second fits 2 pair of mojo wings, a thin pair of gloves, and the gopro. There is some padding between the 2nd and 3rd layer, and I have jammed a dslr with a small lense in a he 2nd compartment when the other items arent there. I have put 3 boxes of shells in the bottom of the main compartment. I used the beverage sleeve to hold my dslr with a 300 mm lense, and put my sitka callers glove in there with my delta wading jacket. When not huntng the bag has enough room to hold my delta pant and jacket inside the main compartment. I have used the fowl noose system to pack out 5 mallards. It worked well, but i havent loaded it down with 8 birds yet. Bag is good size and fits between your legs n the layout blind. It functions as a blind/camera bag. If Sitka were to hire me to redesgn the bag, i would put a partition in the middle of the large compartment so I could keep my shell boxes separate from the remander of gear, and in my case, my camera. I would also put the mesh drink sleeve on the outside side of the bag, on the opposite side from the zippers. This would open up a ton of room in the bag. Overall good piece of kit, and is my new blind bag.
