My son had been praising these pants for over a year. So, when I saw then on sale I bought a pair. They feel and fit great and are very functional in the field. But the real test came when we had 8" of snow, temperature was 7 degrees and the wind was out of the north at 20. Deer season had just passed and I went squirrel hunting behind my house. With only a pair of lounging fleece pants under the Stratus and a fleece shirt under my Incinerator Jacket, I was able to sit in that blistering wind for over an hour. The only reason I came back inside was because my feet were cold in my neoprene boots! I HIGHLY recommend these pants. They performed at a much higher level than I ever expected!

Ordered the Stratus Bibs in Optifade pattern to pair with my Stratus jacket. I figured they would be a lot like the sizing of the Fanatic bibs, so I ordered a large. Fits great except for the 32" inseam and that doesn't work when you wear a 34". I can wear them saddle hunting, but no bueno when using the hang-on stand. Wind heads straight up the bottom and chills your legs.

The Stratus System is in my opinion the most versatile line in the Whitetail Lineup. It can be worn from early fall through late season. I already had the Bibs and Jacket so picking up the pant and vest to complete the system just made sense. Great Layout and amazing comfort. Bought the bibs a couple months back and decided to pull the trigger on the pants too, and couldn’t be more pleased. I’m around 6ft with a 29-30 inch waste so the medium is slightly baggy and I do mean very slightly but with the build in belt they fit like a glove, and I can only imagine if layered under will be impenetrable by the elements and still fit perfectly

I really like how these pants feel when being worn. Typically I need to wear long underwear because the material inside other pants feel uncomfortable against bare skin. Sizing of the pants is perfect around my waist (im a size 31") (medium ordered) and the legs were surprisingly roomy as I have larger thighs. Freedom of movement is non-negotiable for me! I am a public land hunter that traverses a variety of terrain in a greater variety of weather. On warmer hunts, using the stratus pant and skipping a lightweight base layer gave me the protection I needed for the way without becoming overheated. On days approaching the high 30’s, using the stratus pants with a lightweight base layer kept me warm. These pants also offer great protection from treacherous terrain. While dragging a buck down a cliff side filled with rocks and brambles, these pants kept me protected, all while maintaining their robustness. Great pants that you should own if the conditions you’re hunting in are right.

Love them. They are quiet, comfortable, warm enough for 30s with an insulated thermal. My only complaint is that I am an XLT in their Equinox line, so that that’s what I ordered for these pants, and they are legitimately 4 inches too big. I’m going to have to have them altered as they cannot stay on and sending them down with 4 inches of extra fabric underneath the little fabric gray belt just really doesn’t work out that well. I have no idea why they are so much larger than the Equinox line. I would have returned them and gotten larges, but I had them drop shipped to the out-of-state location I was hunting, and 100% did not have proper gear without using them so I had to use them; I had no choice, and now I know that I probably cannot return them for the smaller size, so I’m gonna be left with having to pay to have them severely altered… So, like I said, everything other than that was exactly what you would expect from the brand, perfection.

These are pretty great pants. They are pretty resilient when it comes to pushing through thick brush and jaggers. The wind stop is a huge selling point when mid season wind chills your bones. A tiny bit more insulation in them would make them much closer to a 5 star

I bought a Startus pant and jacket set as the new Stratus 2. 0 product line launched. Realizing I was getting a good price, I finally pulled the trigger on some Sitka gear. I was a little disappointed when the items arrived and were of fairly thin material. Understanding Sitka's technology, I'm sure the material would offer warmth and breathability but my primary concern is how tore us this set would get if snagged on branches, burs, or briars. This is for sure a still hunt set. Lastly, the sizing fit a little small and my effort to avoid big and bulky lead to my purchase of a medium set which was farily snug and did not leave room for any layering other than a long sleeve shirt and thin set of tights. 5'11", 175lbs - will purchase large if/when I decide to try again for Sitga gear. The sale items are sold out so no size swapping available. It must speak to the quality so I'll keep looking!

Very light and soft on the outside with a nice soft liner inside as well. I ripped the outside first time using them however that got stuck on part of my climber. Windproof very well as I cruise around on an atv in Wisconsin in November. I wish they were warmer however.
