I bought this pack in

I bought this pack in the middle of last season when I was looking for something to replace my traditional blind bag. I really like the design of the pack with the large center cockpit and waterproof bottom. The one gripe I have about this bag is the fabric material on the upper portion; it's not water resistant in the slightest bit. If sitka could use the material in the full choke pack for the upper portion to provide some water resistance this pack would be a 5/5- otherwise items inside get pretty soaked from rain/ boat spray.

Weak tree strap buckle

I love this pack, but somethings need upgraded. The tree strap buckle is weak. The female side of buckle is a metal, but the weak point is the plastic male side of buckle. Also, my preference would be to have the gun hook on the other side of the pack (I would think it'd be better for right hand shooters. )

Needed more room

I’ve had the smaller version for a couple of seasons and loved it but found that I needed some more room and a bit more waterproofing. This pack has answered my needs. Keeps stuff high and dry even in the worst conditions. It’s sat in the bottom of my hunting kayak more that once with several inches of water and nothing gets wet inside. Been a gamechanger for me. Using it all the time now.

Fantastic Pack

Been a long time user of a Full Choke pack, and don’t hunt that many locations where I need the Timber Pack, but I am really glad I invested in this to use when I do. Strap was awesome; durable, fits every tree I could imagine hunting on, and has great hangers and attachments to keep everything I need dry and out of the water when there’s no other place for me to put anything. Great pocket orientation too. Really like this and can’t wait to use it more!

The pack has plenty of

The pack has plenty of space to store Kelvin vest or Ambient 150 jacket, along woth boxes of shells, water bottles, a thermocell, snacks, head lamp and whatever. The tree strap is a good idea, along woth the waterproof bottom. However, the overall design is just not inspiring to me. I almost took another pack with me on a waterfowl hunt in Kansas. In the end, the Timber pack made the trip and performed as expected.

Not what I had hoped it would be

The timber pack is a great idea but it lacks a few key features. The fabric covering the top 3/4 of the pack doesn’t feel water resistant at all. I’m sure my gear inside will get wet if it rains at all or if the pack gets splashed too much. Secondly, the straps are paper thin with little to no cushioning. I’ll see how it does in the field but I imagine it’ll make for an uncomfortable hike into the woods. I hope it does better than I expect in the field but I doubt it.

Best Duck Hunting Blind Pack

Best bag on the market!! It floated my heavy bag for a week when it came out of the boat on the way back!!

This bag is a beast!! From the tree strap to the gun hook and foul noose to all the organization pockets and storage. This timber bag isn’t advertised as floating but I have proof it does. My bag got lost on the way back out of the hole and the rough ride ended up letting the bag fall out and I went back and didn’t see it. It had my 15x56 vortex binos, insta 360 x3 camera, GoPro 11, 4 boxes of ammo in it. A week later I got a call someone found it floating in some buck brush and returned it with ask the stuff in it. If it wouldn’t have floated it wouldn’t have been found and returned. It has water in it and it still was a float.

Overall bag is OK. I would recommend a hard bottom, thus allowing the bag to stand upright once placed on a hard surface like the boat floor. Bags could also use external pocket / cup holder. The bag is designed to hang around a tree but has no place to store a drink / coffee tumbler. Again overall bag is usable, however I would shop around for a hard bottomed larger bag.

I purchased this pack for my annual Missouri whitetail bow hunt. It worked great. The way the pack opens to the front is ideal for stand hunting as everything is at your fingertips and can be hung with the included belt around your tree or on the side of your stand. Additionally it fit all my layers plus I was able to strap my incinerator bibs/ fanatic vest to the outside when I needed them for extra warmth. The pack is just the right size for all day sits and not too big.

Great pack

Very happy with the first couple uses of the timber pack. I have not used it to cover miles yet but it has become my new outdoor backpack for the shooting range and duck blind. I like the bucket style of the bag, the lids opens wide to many pockets that are easy to access on the inside. It holds my large spotting scope safely as well as range finder, earmuffs, staple gun, targets, and ammo. My tripod is a little tall to fit inside but that’s not a deal breaker. It has more than enough room for things you need in the dick blind too. Again I would say the bucket style of this bag is great! Good protection from the elements and easy access

Sitka timber pack

Everything about this bag is awesome besides the upper not being waterproof. If a few other companies can make a completely waterproof bag I think Sitka can also at the same price point of this bag with most of the features it currently has. It’s loaded with features and love everything about it but it’s down sides is the fact you are going to be using this bag in and around water 90% of the time the whole bag should be waterproof at this price point. Also I feel like most people that buy Sitka are looking for gear for the worst of situations. For example rainy days, I personally hunt rainy days for ducks often and I have to leave my $250 dollar bag at home on days like that.

Timber Pack

The pack is great and seems to be of great quality. It has lots of pockets and love the built in tree strap. If I could change one thing - I would make the bottom/sides of the pack more rigid. They seem to cave in slightly but all in all, happy with it it.
