How to Take
Your Measurements

Bend your elbow and put your hand on your hip. Measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the shoulder and down the elbow to the wrist bone.

Wrap the tape measure under armpits, around the fullest part of your chest. The tape measure should be snug, not so tight that it constricts breathing, yet not so loose that the tape measure slides down. Don’t puff out your chest. Stand relaxed while measuring.

Measure your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your abdomen, between your ribcage and hips. Stand relaxed while measuring.

  • 4. HIP

For hip circumference, measure around your fullest point, approximately 8” below your natural waist.

  • 5. INSEAM

In a standing position, measure from your crotch to where you want your pants to end, breaking at the top of the shoe in the front and just above the heel in the back.

  • 6. GLOVES

With hand partially closed, measure over the knuckles and around the hand, excluding the thumb.

  • If Waist and Hip measurements do not match up on the chart, choose a size that is between the two to find the best fit.

Ex 1: If your waist measures 28” and your hip measures 40”, typically the best fit would be a size 29.

Ex 2: If your waist measures 27.5”, and your hips measure 38”, typically the best fit would be a size 28.

I love this jacket! I get cold easily and so far the Kelvin has kept me toasty warm while sitting and still hunting in 20-degree weather with a fleece and base layer underneath. It's definitely the warmest puffy I own. It's a little bulky and heavy compared to a down jacket, but still easy enough to throw in a pack when I'm not wearing it and I like not having to worry about getting it wet. I backpacked with it during the early season and was super glad I had it for the cold mornings and evenings glassing and in camp. I agree with others that the hood is small and weird - not sure what's up with that, but I can still get it over my head and a beanie if needed. I love the extra length on the back so my lower back stays covered when I'm bending over or sitting. The tapered elastic cuffs are a nice touch too. I'm 5'4 and 135lbs, usually a small in jackets and I sized up to a medium so I could layer underneath. It seems true to size, as the medium is a little roomy and the sleeves are a tiny bit long on me, but I like those features in a jacket that I'm wearing as my outermost layer. This jacket has become my go-to for just about everything, from backcountry trips to late season whitetails and spring turkeys.

I’ve used this jacket for glassing and to keep warm while sleeping in a bag that wasn’t quite warm enough on top of a mountain without our tent while Dall Sheep hunting! It was an absolutely amazing experience and the jacket kept me in game shape for the entire hunt. When your glassing on ridges the wind never seems to quit and this jacket was up to the task! We were back in the north country for Bull Moose in November and once again, this hoodie was perfect! I had it packed away in my pack when and when I needed it I’d pull it out in -40 and warmed up! This thing is a must in my sheep, elk, moose, WT deer and Mulie deer pack!

This is very nice coat, however, it could step up its game, a lot. The hood needs a lot of improvement, it barely goes over my head and I think I have a relatively normal sized head. So, if you're wanting a hood while out, don't count on this one. The cuffs on the sleeves are nice and help keep the sleeves in place which is nice. When I read expedition fit I was expecting a little larger of a fit but I found this fit to be dead on. Normally that would not be a bad thing but when a piece is meant to be the top layer piece with possibly many other bits underneath, you want a little extra room. I would suggest sizing up if you're looking into this piece. As far as warmth goes, it is nice but does not even compare to the mens. My husband got the mens at the same time and the difference in warmth is crazy. You feel warm instantly in the mens jacket, like a sleeping bag. I would love to see this jacket updated to feature the same insulation as the mens jacket and have a hood meant for real people heads. The mens version has a bill on the hood too which would also be a nice addition. If I was to re-order, I would go in with the intention of this being more of a mid-layer type piece or I would just go ahead and spend the little extra and get the mens jacket for the extra room and warmth.

Love this coat. It kept me warm during elk season with well below freezing temps, through snow and freezing rain storms as well. The only thing I didn't care for is the hood. I don't have a large head and I am a small person but the hood was super small and I couldn't wear it. But all in all I love it!

Nice jacket. Using for early season whitetail. Warm enough for temps just higher than freezing. Just wish it was quieter!

My husband and I both bought this jacket of course he bought the men's version. As soon as we received it we packed it into our hunting location and once we cooled down from our hike we put the Kelvin jacket on. This jacket was incredibly warm! Before I bought this jacket I was layering up to 5-6 different shirts, vests and hoodies to try and keep warm in Alberta's colder hunting weather. This jacket has replaced 3 of my layers making me much more comfortable glassing and sitting. Because my hands always seem to get cold the pockets were one of the first things I noticed, I stuffed my hands into the pockets with a light glove and my hands stayed toasty for hours. My husband even said the same thing, he loved how warm the pockets were. As for the other comments about the hood. I really did not have an issue with my hood, I like it's smaller fit, I can see out of the sides of the hood with out having to turn my head and if I do turn my head the hood doesn't get in the way. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this jacket! LOVE IT. Now I just need Sitka to make a pant that is packable and warm to match this jacket as the pants listed for women are either too bulky or not warm at all for our COLD weather hunts here in Alberta.

Worn this out for 14+ days so far and it has quickly become my favorite piece in my kit. I agree with others that the hood is oddly small (and I have a pretty small head!). Everything else about this jacket is spot on, from how the waist hits my hip line and pads my pack belt, to the pocket placement being perfect for me to slip my hands in there even while wearing a bino harness. True to size and works for layering just fine. On really cold mornings, I could fit my Jetstream jacket underneath it.

I really want to keep This jacket. I just ordered it and was really looking forward to it. I really like the way it fits. However, the hood is so short. It is not usable. It isn’t only short when you pull it on. (I don’t have a big head) it actually pulls on the jacket up from my shoulders when you have it on. Strange fit. So if I keep this the hood won’t be usable? For reference I ordered Medium and I’m 5’5” #130.
I also wish Sitka would make a warmer version like the Men’s WP kelvin Down hoody.
I’m still debating as really like the use of a hood. Loving all the other women’s line pieces. With a few tweaks this one would be perfect too.

Jacket is warm and fits well, BUT the hood sucks. Must be made for women with small heads because it’s not tall enough or deep enough for me. Wore it on a caribou hunt and strained my neck while sitting and glassing because it was too small and pulled at the jacket and my head. I have a lightweight hoody and that fits fine but very disappointed in the hood on this jacket. Otherwise would probably give five stars

This is my all time favorite coat! I love it for guiding hunters in the fall and winter. Perfect for those chilly fall elk bugling mornings or a cold mid afternoon winter day with a mountain lion in tree! I don’t go anywhere without this one!

I own every piece of the women's big game line and this specific piece is my favorite! I used it almost all fall and winter and it kept me warm in every situation. It is super comfortable and fits like it was custom made for me! Works great with other layers and rain gear and is made with high quality material. I can't recommend this piece enough.

I would give this jacket 5 stars if I could. We bird hunted in sub-zero conditions for 3 days and I was always warm and comfortable. I love this jacket. It fits great and is perfect for layering.

I’ve been using this on an elk hunt in Montana during cold snowy weather. Really like the warmth when stopping and the breathabikity when trekking.
I gave this a three star because of the hood.... it is simply too short. Not by much but enough to make it not super functional, uncomfortable, and unusable with a hat. I’ll be sewing in an extra strip about 1.5-2” when i get home to make it work in the future.

After receiving, i reached out to customer service in regards to he hood being too short. I asked if they had other critique from women about the hood. They did not respond to my question but did offer to return the product. If i were going to add anything besides the hood fix to this jacket it would be either an interior right hand zipper pocket or a front chest pocket side entry for an iphone. I use it to take photos and it would be great to have quick access and warm safe storage.
