Stratus Bib

Bib works for me in 20+ deg with a 2 layer setup. Anything colder might want the Fanatic. It tends to unzip from the top with movement.

Great Vest!!!

The vest is deceivingly GREAT! It looks very basic - but its functionality and usefulness are spectacular! Light weight - magnetic closure actually performs well - nice pocket placement - and the padded shoulder, while lightweight is very effective!!! It's so great for both bird hunting and deer hunting over the top of my fanatic set-up!!

Excellent option

The perfect blend between not bulky and not thin - which contributes to a feeling of durability. The connection in the front works very well and does not experience failure in any capacity, all while being easy to use due to the magnet system. Generous pocket/storage space. Would recommend.

I were a size large in every other Sitka top, so I ordered a large vest. Fits great over most tops but was snug over my fantastic jacket. Otherwise I have no complaints, seem to be a high quality vest at an affordable price.

Great lightweight vest for gun season! The pockets are convenient and the addition of the shooting pad is nice. You can also switch the pad to either side depending on what hand shooter you are!

I took this on my first hunt last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the vest. From my military background, I’m not a fan of noisy materials Velcro in the field due to noise signature. It seems like most commercial vests I looked at used Velcro, and the Sitka vest was one of the higher quality vests that uses open pockets and zippers. Even the magnetic buckles is a really nice feature that gives you a secure lock up without the “pop” of traditional buckle enclosures. The pockets are spacious and had plenty of room for my XL sized gloves, hand warmers, and any quick-dump items I was carrying. I had this vest over a base layer, t shirt, hoodie, and jacket and it still had no issue fitting from the factory set up. It’s got some adjustment points to snug it up but I just left it as is. I’m used to army issued outer layers fitting larger than the stated size for the sake of easing size choices. Whether the fit will be considered too big or not, I’d rather it fit on the larger size with cinching adjustments rather than too snug. I plan to take this vest out to many more hunts until it either falls apart or I finally lose enough weight to go down a size in clothes lol.

Vest works well. I like the deep zipper pockets for storage. I am a large in everything else but I had to size up to an xl to fit over the fanatic suit. For reference I’m 5’9 165.

Blaze orange ballistic vest

I got tired of the cheap fabric blaze orange vests required for deer hunting. As always, Sitka did not disappoint! This vest was exactly what I was needing, fits well, if comfortable and the pockets are perfect! Another great product!

Poor Quality

Used this for 1 hunting season(5days) and the fabric that hold the buckle broke. Poor quality for the amount spent. Not worth the $$

Exceeds expectations

When I first looked in to Sitka, The price tags was concerning. I found my self wondering why on earth someone would pay that much for camo. When I unboxed it (even though knowing that it’s a layering system) I thought the material was thin, and was concerned about its durability. I went on a Colorado Elk hunt this past week, and absolutely abused this gear, put it through its paces, and I have to say, I have never been more impressed. The average temp this week has been around the 20° mark, while being colder in the mornings, with up to a foot of snow in some of the draws. Never once did I stop and think that I was freezing, or was I conceded that I was going to rip this gear on a tree branch, or I was going to split a seam while crouching. All and all the Sitka system has impressed me, and exceeded any expectations I could have set for it. 10/10 recommended.

A great addition to my hunting kit!

For years, I've used inexpensive blaze orange to meet basic requirements. This year, I decided to upgrade to a better blaze orange vest. I wish I had done this sooner! The vest is perfectly thought out, with easy-to-access pockets, a magnetic closure, and a removable shoulder pad to tame those magnums. I must wear orange when bowhunting during the firearms seasons, and this is super quiet, too. I didn't need to size up on the vest. I purchased a large Ballistic vest, which fits perfectly over a large jacket.

Orange multi purpose vest.

This vest is awesome. I don’t always like wearing an orange vest while hunting but this one is useful and hardly feels like it’s even there. A must buy for sure with your Sitka purchase.
