Most comfortable shirt I own!
Warm and breathable.
I have two, one in camo and one in solid.
I wear the solid all the time in winter.
Have just tried it on but so far so good.
I was surprised how much I used this. SE hunter, Good weight for those warmer days that you can't really bring a jacket in for and the 4-6p sit turns breezy with just the core lightweight. Found myself reaching for this base layer as it colder more and more. While the heavyweight is nice, it'll make ya sweat when you're processing a harvest, or doing mid-afternoon things. This thing is just comfy.
Extremely comfortable. Highly recommend.
Fit is perfect. This is a great stand alone pullover, but also a perfect base under the jetstream vest on late September mountain hunts.
I already had the heavy weight version and needed something a little lighter. This fits the bill perfectly. It’s still plenty warm and you don’t over heat as easily!
Perfect fit. I’m 6’1 270 and the XL fits me perfect. A great addition to the collection.
Daily wearer during duck season. Not too warm that it can’t be worn when it’s mild out, not too cold that it isn’t enough when the temp is around 55-60.
The fit is awesome for a big guy. I’m 6’4” and 350lbs. The XXXL fits great and is a great base layer
Very comfortable! Honestly I bought 2. One for everyday use and one for hunting. It’s a great base layer. I wear it under my duck oven and I’m good to go in the 20s. Highly recommend obviously. I’m 6’1” 170 and I got a M. I wanted it to fit snug/ athletic for layers over it.
Very comfortable shirt to wear under just about anything. I paired it under a Gradient sweatshirt and a Hudson Coat because of a little rain. After the morning warmed up above 40 degrees, I was able to shed the sweatshirt and was very happy to sit in the blind dry and warm. Quality made shirt and a great base layer for temps above freezing.
This is the perfect mid layer or everyday shirt. The texture is smooth and soft with a light fleece inside. I really hope they include more solid colors.
Fantastic product. Performs as a mid weight layer so you do not have to use a heavy weight. This is just right for those cool fall days and can be used as a base layer later on. Love the zip feature so you can close it up or open it up depending upon what you need. The Pyrite color mixes and matches with almost anything.
One of my favorite Sitka products. I use it either as base layer or on top of a core lightweight shirt. Does a great job wicking as well as insulating in the early season.
Best decision I have made in clothing in a long time. Works exactly as advertised. Wicks moisture, keeps you comfortable and has enough warmth. Better for those colder days as a base layer compared to the core lightweight products. Highly recommended. Love the zip front to dump heat or close up for more warmth.
Paired this with the CORE Mid Wt bottom and did a trial run spring skiing. Worked great. Warm, comfortable and fit well. No doubt they will perform come late season hunting. Quick turnaround on the order.
I switched from polar weight to this mid weight because the fanatic over the Celsius is so warm. I like this better. The zipper opens so much which is wonderful for walking back to the stand to keep from sweating as bad. Wicks the moisture better than my polar weight, so I end up warmer in this mid weight than other heavier stuff cause I don’t wet out.
Perfect base or second layer during those colder September or October hunts. This is a must have for big game!
One of my favorite pieces from cool mornings to late in the season mid layer. Also can’t be happier with the way Sitka’s staff is, had a few issues with the shirt and they replaced it with little to no questions!
Love this midweight shirt! It's extremely comfy and works on many levels. I use it as a second layer during summer mountain trips/hunts for mornings and nights, as well as a pullover at work. I'm 5'10" 185 lbs. and bought the large, which was a great choice. Fits good as a baselayer, but it fits perfect as that secondary layer. Highly recommend this shirt.
Love it. Have two, one in Pyrite and the other in open country. Both XL. Only problem is the pyrite one shrunk so much during a wash that I gave it to my wife. While the open country didn’t shrink at all. Very strange.
This is the first piece of sitka I ever bought, I have had it for about two years now. It is very comfy and I wear it under my grinder hoody on every hunt I go on no matter what the animal I am after is. I love this piece and will often wear it around the house. When hunting, if you are comfortable it will be a lot more enjoyable and this piece is a great start. I would get it over the core light weight hoody to start off every system if it was me. Awesome piece to start out with.
I wear the midweight zip-t on every hunt when it gets below 60. I like it so much i have it in 3 patterns including pyrite which is great to wear working outside or scouting or whatever. They are very comfortable & the thumb loops are awesome for layering. I have worn just this & the Fahrenheit vest down to 25 degrees plus the wind of a cold boat ride & been just fine! It's a great layering piece. When it gets warmer the zipper is nice to help dump some heat as well!
I wear this quarter zip on nearly ever hunt. Perfect for early season and as one of your layers as it starts to get cooler. I love the thumb loops when using as a base layer keeps sleeves in place. I have several patterns, wear it for waterfowl and all big game I hunt. I am 5' 8" about 185 , extra large fits me good, not too loose and gives me a little better freedom to move without binding.
I love this 1/4 zip so much. I have it in Subalpine and Pyrite. My only wish is that it came in more solids. I wear my Pyrite one all the time for work in the fall/winter and would welcome more colors.
5'9" 185lb. North Dakota
Large- Fits very well
Temp Range Comfortable- 40s-70s (Nobody is comfortable above 80 degrees outside)
Excellent early season base layer. The zipper is a nice touch that lets you air out when it gets warm though I never used the chest pocket.
No wear or damage after heavy use.
First let me say I have a closet full of Sitka Gear that I'm extremely happy with. In fact, the Core Lighweight Hoody is my favorite Sitka piece and is why I purchased the Core Midweight - I was looking for a slightly warmer base layer. I'm 6'1", 185 and the LT fits perfectly. I wore the shirt on ONE day archery hunting this year and there is a ridiculous amount of pilling on the sleeves and somehow a small hole right along the cuff line- the amount of wear the piece shows after one day of use is unacceptable in my opinion. I will continue to wear this piece because it fits well and it performs excellently as a baselayer but I have no delusions about needing to replace it after one season of use.
Shirt fabric is piling after wearing 3 times while hunting(subalpine) . Customer service says it is wear and tear. And will not cover it for warranty. For the price you pay for it to pile so quickly is extremely sad.makes me think twice about buying more Stika in the future.
Received one as a gift this past holiday season. Perfect for a base layer under your shell in colder temps - my only complaint is the extreme pilling nature of the fabric. It’s horrible. The fabric has pilled up at the end of the arms and lower abdomen area. Basically any area that receives a lot of friction expect the fabric to behave in that manner.
Picked up the new version of the midweight zip in open country and its definitely an upgrade from the previous model. Better material and sizing is perfect. I have a MT and couldnt be happier with fit. I layer this over fanatic hoody for warmth or casual wear around the house.
I grabbed this for "Gray Season" at Reelfoot. The low in the was 30's & high was around 63; I wore this with a F*lson wool vest & my Sitka Delta wading jacket. By 10 am I had shed everything but the shirt. This shirt was the perfect choice for layering!
Call it coincidence, call it science. All I know is that when I bought my Sitka camo set the very first day I went out into the woods I had the best hunt of my life. I shot my biggest whitetail yet. The core midweight zip tee is quiet, light yet warm, and does an awesome job at keeping your sweat off of you. I had deer so close I was debating on dropping the bow and spearing them with arrows. This camo will change your hunting experience.
This is a great piece as the temps drop. I can wear it early season here in WI then add my DWJ or DO over the top if there is rain or cold temps moving in. 5'10 165 and a large fits me perfect.
Great shirt. I have some of the older versions (2018 and older) of this shirt and the new 2019 version. All are nice. The 2019 version seems to not be as "heavy" as the other two I have. And also I feel like the back hem is not as long as previous versions. I actually prefer the back hem not being as long so the 2019 version is great. It would be great if they offered more solid colors like Dirt.
The Core Mid Weight Zip-T has been one of my favorite pieces of gear. I live in Arizona where this comes in handy for those brisk mornings but can be easily removed and packs down small. If you are in the south west you have to get your hands on the mid weight!
Gaining access to private land can be an intimidating hurdle for most hunters, but it doesn’t have to be. In fact, knowing how to ask permission can be a hunter’s secret weapon, especially when it comes to accessing public land drainages only reachable via private land or, even, opening up a door to private land access for years to come.

Great piece of gear. Very comfortable as a layer or all by itself.
Very solid, lightweight breathable piece. Works great as a mid-layer.
The last pair of thermals I bought was 8yrs ago. I hope these stand up to the sitka quality. So far they have been great
This is a great piece very warm for how thin it is 100% would buy another one in camo for early season A lot of Sitka pieces get you in trouble with your wife it’s only 100 dollars which is not bad for Sitka and the quality you get
