Lighter but more durable than previous

This stuff is somehow lighter weight than my previous lightweight merino from a different brand but is also more durable and holding up better so far. Impressed. Fit and finish is great.

My go-to baselayer

I use this all season as my base layer. When it’s hot I can sweat and not worry about scent and it conceals great up in a tree. Later in the season I wear it hiking in and then throw layer on after I climb the tree.

Excellent Product

Purchased product before chasing Muleys in western SD. Temps ranged between 83°-45°. When it was hot, stayed nice and cool and had no scent of BO after sweating while hiking. When it was cool, put the jet stream jacket over top and stayed plenty warm with it underneath. Only gripe is I wished the torso was just a smidge longer or it was available in a LT.

Go-to base layer

I replaced my old merino core hoody from 2019(ish) that had seen many miles with the Core Merino 120 Hoodie. The old hoodie was a M (I assume in Men's because it wasn't labeled Women's as all my other pieces are) and was a slightly smaller, slimmer fit than the new Medium. I am still going to mark fits true to size as the sleeves aren't longer than my hands. The thumbholes - which land perfect on me, the facemask, and breast pocket are nice upgrades. The material seems a bit thicker, though my old one was put through the wringer. The hood fits pretty sung, and feels too tight if I put it over my baseball hat. I wear this layer on every hunt, the breathability and anti-odor of the merino extend the life and require less washing. I hope I get another 6 years out of this new one!

Most Comfortable Shirt EVER

Great shirt. Going on a 9 day backcountry elk hunt and this will be my primary base layer. No doubt it will perform great.

I absolutely love my Sitka gear. Would give this product a 5 star review just have one issue the neck gator built into the shirt is too loose which is the whole reason I got this over using my normal gator the convenience of having an all in one package. When holding my head high while hunting it holds decent but as soon as I look down it falls below my nose. With no elastic material in the gator I find myself adjusting it about every 10 minutes while hunting.

Great fit. A little tight. But im run into this alot. A XXL Is too big. But an XL is just a little tight. But nevertheless, Can't wait to wear it this upcoming season!

The hoodie is going to work well under my Traverse Jacket. The fit is just right.

Merino 120 hoodie

Love it. Super comfortable and fits well. I’m 6 2 170 lbs and bought a large. The hood fits great and is nice and snug, doesn’t block your vision moving your head around glassing or whatever.

This is a perfect early season morning top. Super thin and breathable, great fit. One step above lightweight base layers. Wish they had more solid colors!

Quality is good but the price is too high for it

Very light weight, to hot to wear in summer, makes you sweat like crazy. Easily rips if it gets snagged and looks to fade over time. Resd descriptions before purchasing. I didnt know it was wool i was looking for active wear.

Light and comfortable

Hoodie fits well and is extremely soft and comfortable to wear. Doesn't sweat me out like a lot of the synthetic fabrics. I got a size XL and it fits perfectly.

I love the merino 120 hoodie, it’s been perfect for use on its own for summertime temp regulation and doesn’t stink like a typical solar hoodie. I wore it on a 4 day camping/fishing trip and only came off at night. I have another hoodie in 150 weight from a different brand that had been my go to. This one is more functional with the zipper and is slightly more comfortable. I dunked my waders once during the fishing trip and with the exception of the expected wet wool smell the hoodie dried exceptionally quickly. My only gripe is that the mask stretches out pretty quickly in between washes and will not stay in place after the first couple hours of wear. I will likely purchase a second one to keep them both in rotation.

Great piece as stand alone in warmer temperatures and a terrific laying piece to start with on those cool mornings and as the day starts to warm by itself. True to size and very comfortable.

One of the best merino out there. I’ve tried and have first lite, kuiu and Sitka which is the softest and best.

Disappointed

Overall seemed like a nice piece. Big downside was the durability. Wore it once a 3 mile hike and it had a couple holes in it. Love Sitka gear but wouldn’t recommend this piece due to the lack of durability

Only Sitka product I've been disappointed in

Among the dozen or so other hoodie products from Sitka I have in the same exact sizing over almost 10 years, this uniquely has a much wider wrist cuff and smaller neck zip. It is quite literally the only product I've ever been disappointed in. I'll take the Core Merino products over this all day long.
