Perfect for the turkey woods

The hoodie is extremely light weight. Yet perfect for turkey hunting. Built in insect repellent, built in face mask. Works as a great under layer in the cold or perfect for a single layer on a hot day. Runs just a tad bigger than other Sitka products. I am borderline between large and xl when it comes to Sitka clothing. The large fits well.

Perfect Spring-time Hunt Upper

I love this hoody!

I could live in this thing. I find myself wearing the Equinox Guard Hoody almost on a daily basis. I was looking for a shirt to wear in 50-60 degree weather. I don’t believe this shirt fits my needs. I have no complaints about the quality, support, or design. I simply bought a shirt that was designed for a different purpose.

Amazing hot/sunny weather piece

Amazing hot weather piece. Remarkably breathable for a long sleeved shirt. Face mask is extremely easy to breathe through as well. Long chest zipper vents great when needed Sun protection rating seems to work as advertised. Didn’t burn through it. 5,7” 190 lbs, wide shoulders. Large fits comfortably loose and breathable. Would (will) buy large again

I wear this turkey hunting

I wear this turkey hunting and as a base layer. Super stretchy and comfortable. 10/10 recommend. I normally wear large in everything but buy this is medium!

Equinox Guard Hoody - waterfowl timber

Lightweight and comfortable. The long zip on chest and integrated hood and face mask are a great features. I put my guard gloves in the chest pocket to keep everything together. I use permethrin spray on all my cloths, having this "built-in" with bite protection fabric is even better. I haven't been able to use or see how well the insect shield performs due to the weather. I'm ready to use the system for spring turkey. The waterfowl timber pattern looks great and will work for more that just waterfowl hunting.

Best Piece of Sitka

This may be the best piece of hunting gear Sitka has made. The bite resistant breathable fabric and built in repellent with wash resistance makes the early season gear unmatched on the market. The fabric is also much more stretchy than the other early season pieces I have like the "ESW". It makes it into my packing list for hikes everywhere I go around the world with no need to worry about packing sprays that take ups space and can leak in a checked bag. We all have a person in our lives who says "mosquitos are just attracted to me!". This is the perfect gift for them too thanks to the solid colors. Hear the buzz of the bugs without the bite.

Best Turkey Top

Purchased this for turkey hunting in Mississippi. Perfect choice. Great outer layer for cool mornings while wearing a core top. I am 6 foot and 195. I purchased a size L and fits a little big. I wear a 40 regular in a coat and 15.5/34 in a shirt.

Only long sleeve shirt I brought to Thailand. To use as a mosquito guard, for the northern part of the country. Used as I sun guard while deep sea and squid fishing the ocean in the south. Love the feel and fit. Looking forward to using it for Dove season hunting and early duck hunting season.

Great Concept, Poor Construction

I ordered this equinox guard hoody while it was on sale. I was skeptical of the Insect Shield concept, but figured I get ahold of one in preparation for spring bear and turkey season. I was so disappointed in the construction and materials chosen for the garment (feels like cheap stretchy knock-off Under Armour), that I just packed it back up to return it after trying it on. If Sitka could put the Insect Shield Technology into a Core Light hoody, then we would be onto something. The material for the Equinox Guard is just way below my expectations.

Great early season hoody

Absolutely love this for early season. Wore it this year in warm conditions and it was the perfect weight to be in camo with zero bulk. I was amazed at how well it worked keeping the mosquitoes off me. I would put my hood up and they would just disappear. Very satisfied.

I’ve made it most of

I’ve made it most of my season here in Oklahoma as a guide. This hoodie matched with my Kelvin vest has been my go to!

I have used this several times. In Louisiana early season this is the perfect lightweight, insect repellent top.

East Texas Approved!

Most of my hunts (scouting excursions) are in the Piney Woods of East Texas. It's hot and humid for most of the spring, summer, and fall. I've warn this hoody every time out. I don't need the Thermocell or sprays/creams with it on. It's hands down my one, go to, outerwear.
