Equinox hoodie is a great super thin lightweight hoodie that is a great addition to you warm weather collection. It protects you from the sun and those pesky bugs at bay.

Awesome Shirt

I love the shirt, it runs big so I would size down. I love the Cover camo pattern as well! Haven't worn it in the woods yet but will be taking it to Canada next week and will see how it holds up to the black flies and mosquitos.

Bug Guard

I use the Equinox Guard for all of my early season sqyirrel/deer/turkey hunting. It works great to repel bugs and keep ticks out, so I ordered a set of tan pants, a blue and a green shirt for camping, hiking and mushroom hunting. Large shirt is a good fit, 6'00" 185lbs and my arm length is around 35. 5-36" I usually order large tall to fit my arm length, but these shirts fit great.

Equinox was a blood saver

Sitka Equinox is the real deal. Pig hunting in Texas brush aming gators and mosquitoes that sounded like helicopters I did not get bit from dawn to dusk. Getxha some, breathes well and not iverly hot.

What you would expect

The quality of this gear is excellent, i cannot comment on the insect repellent yet as it hasn’t been hot enough long enough yet for them for them to be a problem. I will update later. I would say if you are thinking about getting it. Then do it.

Great hoodie!

Love the look and fit. Mosquitoes aren’t out in force yet so time will tell. Very comfortable and true to size.

Super Breathable and Insect Repellant!

Worked amazingly during South Carolina's turkey season. Kept the mosquitos away and was breathable and cool during the hot late-mornings!

Comfortable!

I have been wearing Sitka since it started and have a lot and this may be my favorite shirt by far. Extremely comfortable and unlike older Sitka than ran a little in the small size this was sized well. Maybe even run a tad big which is perfect.

Spring turkey hunting essential

In the northeast tics are everywhere and lime disease is a real concern. I never go into the woods without bug protection. The guard collection helps me stay focused on my game and not worry as much about debilitating tic born diseases.

Worked better than expected for insects

Passed the Louisiana turkey hunting test in the swamps. I was amazed at how well this detours insects.

Wore it my first time on a spring turkey hunt in the Blue Ridge mountains of VA. . got to almost 80° during the day. Not only did I stay cool, I did not have one tick nor mosquito. . and they are definitely out! Absolutely worth the money. I know they will be especially during our September early antlerless

Tick Proof

Living in rural Massachusetts with an abundance of ticks. The Equinox Guard Hoodie works well. I like the neck guard and hoodie. I haven’t had an attached tick when I wear the hoodie.

Excellent summer shirt

I fished for a week in Utah in July. Wore the Equinox hoodie everyday. Was comfortable in 90’ temps and full sun all day on the river. No sunburn and was comfortable all day.

Super light weight but provides just enough warmth and wind protection.

Good jacket, but prefer the old mountain jacket

Overall, I really like the seal in the stretch of this new jacket, although I really wish they would not have done away with the old one. This jacket is a little bit more stretchy and thinner and if you’re only wearing it alone without a backpack, which I’m assuming most people are going to be doing a lot of the time. The wind goes right through that back panel. I understand those meant for breathability with a backpack on, but then when you take it off, your back is exposed. I think it’s just trying to do too many things with one jacket. With that said, I do really like my jacket. Just wanted to give an honest review.
