Bought this hoodie for turkey hunting this year, was very pleased how comfortable it was with the mesh facemask. Didn’t have to worry about any extra while hunting turkeys would recommend lightweight very comfortable.

New Material

Nice hoodie with a new silkier wicking material. Runs big, I ordered a 2XL and it fits like a 3XL long. I am going to return for an XL.

Layering in East TN

This has made a great outer layer on the warmer spring turkey hunts. In the morning I will wear a traverse jacket with this and a core SS TShirt. I was torn between subalpine camo or the new optifade but really glad I went with Alpine for as well as it blends into the areas I hunt.

Kept the bugs off

Had good luck running my whole equinox set on opening day for turkey. The equinox set plus a little deet kept me totally free from bugs on the hike in through brush and while sitting. As a bonus this set has been really tough against briars too.

Fits very well, layers nicely. Bought in black for ground blind hunting and has been perfect for early turkey season mornings. Just warm enough, but very lightweight

Love this hoodie. Worn already multiple times in the woods in Florida. Ticks and no see ums are already out here and this makes it easy. No bites at all. I use permethrin on my socks and pants but needed something light weight with long sleeves. 5’11 190 and the large fits perfectly.

Superb protection

The EG hoodie arrived in time for Youth turkey season. The weather was unseasonably warm and the mosquitoes were out. I was able to call in a turkey for my son without fighting mosquitoes.

Picked up the Sitka Equinox Guard Hoodie with early-season scouting and hunts in mind—especially for those warm, buggy days we all love to hate here in Pennsylvania. The equinox guard hoodie is an excellent piece of hunting clothing. It’s great for warm weather hunting and it also works well as a base layer for colder weather. But its best feature is its insect repellant feature, which works great. As far as sizing, I am between a medium and large size and the medium works well for me.

Loved this hoodie with mask while hunting Oceallated turkey in Mexico! Not the coolest material with the high temperatures and humidity, but it was cool enough and kept a lot of the insects at bay.
