Completely wind proof

Wind does not penetrate this does its job worth it!

Fits well with some layering underneath. Orderd the medium. 5’7” 175 pounds. Fits comfortable with Ambient 100 under and very comfortable with fanatic hoodie under.

Worth Every Penny

My only complaint is I had to get a LT because the standard Large was sold out so it’s a little big.

Great Jacket!

The Stratus Jacket and Bibs are great for southeast, in my opinion. You can wear it across multiple temperatures with proper layering. I have sit in 20° weather with some baselayers and an Ambient 100 jacket and was warm. I highly recommend!

I just bought the Stratus 2. 0 jacket, pants, and beanie. Everything fits great and is exceptionally quiet in the woods. I hunted windy 20 degree weather in PA and only needed a baselayer with sweatpants and sweatshirt to stay warm. This was my first Sitka purchase and I don't regret it one bit.

Mediocre

Ok for early season, but not good for once temps get to 40 degrees or less. I think Sitka over exaggerates their layering system and stratus capabilities. I’ve been hunting with the stratus for 3 seasons now and it does not hold up with cold windy days. Love my fanatic stuff and love Sitka’s attention to noise, but the over exaggeration of their layering and cold weather is a bit much sometimes.

First Sitka purchase. Jacket fits well, warm with layers, and breaks wind great. 2 stars because snap-in hoodie came off during a hunt and Sitka will not provide an option to purchase that piece separately. Don't lose any snap-in accessories because Sitka will not help you out.

Cold Weather?

If you like the cold, buy this jacket. Another over priced, sub- standard product which is consistent what the new Sitka puts out. Maybe you have to buy the incinerator and spend $750 to stay warm.

It’s a very solid jacket and can be used from mid to late season — I will say though, if you’re going to wear in late season (cold temps: 33 and lower, with wind), you need to layer very well or you will get cold. I give it a 4/5 because I don’t believe it’s a 5 star in (cold) wind protection.

For the person who can't decide

I wanted to put a review up here for the guys like me who struggle to decide whether something like this is worth the investment. Long story short, I think this jacket is great, but whether I say it's worth it or not would take into context how you hunt. I do not have access to private land, so I am stuck hunting public (whitetail) in North Carolina. I do a lot of walking and typically, once I head in the woods in the morning, I don't come out until I kill something or until dark. With this in mind, I want to be able to pack everything I need in my backpack when I head in. The other thing for me is that I only bow hunt. For this reason, I don't want bulky, noisy clothes that create the risk of spooking deer or interfering with my maneuverability. In my area, we typically don't see the 30s until Thanksgiving or December so I also want something I can use in a range of temps. With that context laid out, I think this jacket is great. The pockets are in great spots, it is quiet, and it is great for layering. I've worn it now in temps as high as 50 and with a 120 Merino long sleeve underneath, it was perfect. Today, I sat in 25-degree weather from 0530 to 1130. For my top half I have the Merino 120, a heavy (non sitka) thermal long sleeve, a lightweight sweater, and the Stratus jacket and was great. Probably would have been fine without the sweater, but I had it so I wore it. This jacket is also low enough profile that I can easily put it in my backpack. Now, if I am being honest, I would have a tough time spending the money if I were riding a side by side to a field, walking 100 yards to a box blind, and shooting spikes from 200 yards with a 300wm. At that point, I would probably be fine just wearing any run of the mill, cold weather hunting coat. If you are looking for something that is versatile, lightweight, and warm, I would say this is worth the investment. As far as fit, I am 6'1" 240 lbs with an athletic build. I bought a LT and it fits great and layered well with the above mentioned clothes. If I carried more weight in my midsection, I would probably want an XL.

Perfect jacket without all of the bulk

This jacket was a let down at first sight. But once I started using it in conjunction with the fanatic hoody and/or the ambient hoody my thought process changed immediately! This jacket paired with a good base layer, a fanatic hoody and fanatic bibs and it’s perfect!!! I would definitely recommend this jacket 1 it works surprisingly well and 2 it is very low bulk. It is very comfortable and it actually checks all the boxes!!!

This is not at all a warm jacket. It’s also too small to layer underneath. It also took way too long to ship out and didn’t arrive in time even though I paid the extra for overnight shipping.

I have the Stratus in and it’s a great jacket but the 2. 0 is awesome. The only issue which is minor is that the forearm portion of the sleeve is a little tighter than I would like.

It seems to be equally as good as the original. I've really enjoyed my 1. 0 sets, so I'm certain this will be just as good. Definitely like the new cover patterns, though! Highly recommend to anyone on the fence for a early/mid season kit. I own a set in elevated, sub alpine, and cover now, and love all 3.

The Fanatic line is of the best to have, but for later season. The stratus is a must have for mid to warmer temps. It is incredible how you can stand in a cold wind and not feel the air movement through the jacket.

Quieter than I expected too

Warm and fits right

It wasn’t the coldest hunt I have been on by any means. But every morning I put on this jacket and the cold breeze never got to me. Plus it doesn’t make any noise and has great mobility.
