Great late season pant

I hunt in northern WI. This is a great durable pant for both tree stand and blind hunting. The windstopper is phenomenal. Sizing is spot on, I am a size 36” with big thighs but had plenty of room for movement.

Great last min purchase.

I purchased these last min before a western deer hunt this fall when forecast was reduced to 2 degrees. Warmth was excellent when hiking and kept me warm when glassing. Great features to the pants like the latch of the belt, fly zips up which is great with a pack on, and plenty of pockets in the right spot. Windproof performed great in 25 to 35 mph. I then used them late season stand hunting for whitetail in Wisconsin. Excatly what I was looking for!

Warm, waterproof, and windproof which also means it helps cut down on my scent hunting whitetails in the Midwest. My go to pants!

Good Pants

I have years of experience wearing Sitka Gear - ever since their original Mothwing days. In my opinion, it’s hard to beat the Stratus system, as it is a very versatile system. Having the EVII Stratus system, I recently decide to add the Subalpine Stratus pants to my stable of gear. With that said, the reason that I gave the pants only three stars is because of the Stratus Subalpine pattern — for myself, there is too much of the “off white” color and not enough brown and green tones.

Pants need zippered legs like the stratus bib. I sold mine and bought bibs.

Love the pants! The performance is great but I wish they matched the rest of my Elevate II instead of being so white. Other than that they are great!

Best Mid season Oklahoma pant.

I debated on getting the bib or the pant. I finally decided on the pant in ev2. I wore them this last week on a striper fishing trip on Lake Texoma in Oklahoma. It was a very windy and cold day. Temps were 40-45 with 20+ winds. I was more than impressed with the warmth and wind protection. I wore a pair of like pants under them and never thought i needed more insulation. I now have the subalpine pants and bibs in my wishlist to order. Very true to size fit. I just wish they made a short in all of their pants.

Best Pants Ever!

I recently bought these pants and I just want to say how great they are! these pants keep me warm on those chilly mornings with layers on, and throughout the day they are still breathable enough to not swamp me out with heat! These pants are super quiet and wind resistant just like advertised, Can't wait to see how they fair as the temps keep dropping, but knowing that they are sitka I'm sure they will stand up to the test.

Awesome pants

Just like the jacket this piece is well made. Quiet material that is light but very warm and comfortable. Just add a base layer with a mid layer and and you're good all the way into December in the teens. Extremely wind proof too. Well made piece. Nice cargo pockets too.

Perfect

As a woman, finding a good fit in decent hunting clothes is difficult at best. My husband bought me the Stratus jacket last year and I love it. I wanted to get matching pants. There are no women's matching pants. I ordered the size small men's and they are perfect. For reference for other ladies out there considering buying the men's pants, I'm a size 4 to 6 and have a 31 inch inseam.

Very comfortable and warm pants! I've been wearing it for three years now and I'm very happy with it. 100% wind protection, the pants also protect well from rain and snow. Pants are wide and easy to put on thermal underwear. Comfortable and large pockets that can easily fit gloves. The only remark, I would like the pants to be completed with suspenders. Thank you SITKA for good and functional pants!

The Stratus Pants are by

The Stratus Pants are by far the finest, well thought out, most comfortable pair of hunting pants I have ever owned. They are so superior to my other hunting pants, I find myself only wanting to wear 'them' every time I dress to hunt. The pockets are so roomy and well designed. And the side pockets are strategically placed to where they do not affect movement of the knees. In addition, I hunted in them with a base layer in 20 degree weather with windy conditions and 45 degree weather without an under-layer. I am a full 250 pound, 6'2' 38' man body waist line. The XL fit perfect. The built in belt is a nice add as well as the material in the waist line to help keep them in place. They are comfortable enough to lounge, or sleep in, also... They are truly a 5-star pair of pants!

Nice pant, windproof good. SE hunter. Really really miss a zipper on the pant legs though. Even a quarter zip would vastly improve this piece. Wound up selling them, didn't read description enough, just assumed they'd have a leg zipper.

Love them. Super comfortable. Great for a long hike in. The wind proofing was top notch. Late season in northern IL sitting 20 feet up with 15+ mph winds on a 30 degree day I was plenty warm. Wore a light base layer under them. I’m 5’10 200lbs usually a 34x32 went with the large and fits perfectly.

I am 6’3” and weigh

I am 6’3” and weigh 230 lbs. I usually wear a 35” or 36” waste. I ordered the Large Tall Stratus pant and it fits great. I have enough room to layer insulated underwear and a Sentlok base layer underneath. The pant quantity is excellent and the wind stopper fabric does what it is supposed to do. The outer fabric is durable, soft and quiet. Pockets are well thought out. No back pockets which are a plus for me since I am a saddle hunter. Could probably add 1/2” to an 1” in the pant inseam, but now I am getting really picky. I saw some comments on the belt not staying tight, but I have not had any issues with that. The only other thing they could do with this pant is to add some pant leg zippers to help dump the heat as you are walking to and from your tree, however, this will add cost. I paired these pants up with the Stratus jacket in an XL Tall. A little extra room in this coat helps with layering. I highly recommend both the Stratus pants and jacket!

They’re almost perfect; they just

They’re almost perfect; they just need side vents. I ended up returning these because they were just too warm to not have zippered side vents. Instead, I bought the stratus bib for the vents. This is essential for packing out or processing deer. I go from sitting to active once I have to field dress and skin a deer. Air flow when moving is so essential—especially if I decide to butcher the animal in the same day or have a long drag out. It’s also easier to change footwear with the zips. I don’t understand why such an incredibly well-designed pant wouldn’t have this feature. I’m 6’2” 206 and hunt whitetails on the east coast. Size Large would have worked for me. I hunt in wellies so length isn’t an issue. XLTs were both too large and too long. For the Bibs I probably should have gotten the LTS just for a little more slack in the shoulder straps as I’m on the last notch. I’ve worn the bibs in 25 degrees so far and was fine with just a 260 wt. Icebreaker base layer for a several hour sit. If it’s below 30 I’m now adding a mid layer merino pant for a little extra volume, but I wasn’t uncomfortable. I really liked hand pockets on the stratus pant. It really is a nearly perfect pant for 30 and below. Zips would make it more versatile into the 40s or a warm day that reaches the 50s. Buy the bibs.

Love these pants! Have worn

Love these pants! Have worn them comfortably all the way into the upper 60's by themselves and all the way down to the teens with a heavy base layer underneath. Excellent wind blocking ability and I was very surprised with how well they took morning dew and light precipitation without soaking through. Super quiet and cut perfectly for comfort and mobility. These are by far the best big game hunting pants that I have ever owned and have become by go to Deer hunting pants!

I love all things Sitka

I love all things Sitka and these pants are no exception! Super soft and comfortable, well thought out design. Pockets in all the right places, strong zippers and support where it’s needed. Would recommend to anyone who needs that extra layer before it drops into freezing temperatures.

Very well made, wear a 32 in pants and the medium fit perfect in the waist and legs, my only complaint is the pattern is a little lighter than I like for hunting in hardwoods but overall warm and comfortable piece.

These are my go to

These are my go to pants for Whitetail season here in Maine. They keep me toasty warm even on the coldest days. They are super quiet and do a great job at keeping out the wind and any water from snow or rain that I come into contact with. I have bought multiple pairs so that way I can change them out during long hunting trips up north. To me, the Stratus gear is the best gear that Sitka sells!

Soft, warm, quiet. Belt is super nice low profile. Lots of pockets. Love the side zip cargo pockets. I got an xlt and I am 6’7” 240 fit couldn’t have been better.

Great Pants. Comfortable quiet and warm. My only complaint is the sizing. These pants are big and baggie, I am 6'4' around 210 and order the Large Tall and I am legit swimming in them. Typically, the large tall fits me perfectly. Not sure what I will do with them since they are too big. Maybe I am used to the fit from the big game hunting line, where the pants are a bit more form fitting and true to size. I wish there was a whitetail pant similar to the mountain pant.

Excellent piece of gear. I found them really warm and well made. One nice thing, the thigh pockets are thick and double as hand warmers. Only complaint is the belt sucks. It does not stay tight. Belt is nice, easy to use, just will not stay tight so makes it pretty much useless. Over all excellent pant for mild conditions, add a layer underneath and they could handle pretty cold conditions. Worth the money.

Great pants, the only complaint

Great pants, the only complaint is sizing. I wear a 32” in most pants, but the M is just a bit tight At the waist. The legs are great in size.

Love these pants as the

Love these pants as the temps drop. Have only ever needed a heavy base layer to hunt down into the 20's with these. The outside materials does pick burrs and all sorts of other annoying things up very easily, but they clean out just as easy. The windstopper membrane is a game changer for me too.

Not quiet at all for

Not quiet at all for close range bowhunting. First sitka purchase I wasn't completely satisfied with. They definitely cut down on wind and keep me warm but the noisiness kills them for me.

Excellent pants. Super warm. My only complaint is that they go to individual numeric sizes on the waist. Im 5’9 200. My waist is usually a 32-33. M just barely fit. And L was way too baggy at the waist.

I bit the bullet and

I bit the bullet and finally got nice gear, and don’t regret it. I used to wear fleece pants under a gore outer pant, and haven’t had to put that outer shell on since switching to these. Quiet and wind proof. I wear them over just polar weight thermals down to about 20°F. Lots of well thought out pockets.

Finally purchased Sitka Gear this

Finally purchased Sitka Gear this year and glad I did. Have worn these pants and matching jacket in temps from 60°F to 35°F degrees with only a base layer at times. Warm when days got cold but not hot on warmer days. Cuts wind and the pattern is great for treestand hunting. I’m 5’9” 180lbs. Wear a 34/30 jean. Purchased the large and it fits great. Have a little extra room in the waist but not bad when base layers are added for layering.

Great product! I would recommend

Great product! I would recommend this product to anyone. These pants do run a little fitted, so keep that in mind when ordering. I prefer pants over bibs, so I went with the stratus pants over the bibs. With proper layering, these pants are bullet proof. My only complain is that there is no back pocket and no zippered legs. If you added those two things, this would be my favorite sitka piece.

I wore these pants yesterday

I wore these pants yesterday evening for the first time after purchasing them, and I am head over heels In love with them. They are the most comfortable pair of hunting pants that I have ever owned, and with me comfort is key. Very quite, extremely warm, and was very impressed with the pocket space. Not having a back pocket will take some getting used too, but I’m willing to sacrifice that for how great these pants are. For size, I’m 6’1, 225 pounds, with an athletic build and a Large fit me perfect. I highly recommend these pants for the serious hunter looking to up their game, and push through long chilly sits in the stand.

Great pant! They're comfortable, warm and quiet. They also have a lot of deep pockets for storage and keeping your hands out of the elements. I can comfortably weather these even with my heaviest base layer.

These pants are worth it.

These pants are worth it. I have worn them from mid 60’s down to high 20’s and they have preformed great. These are the best hunting pants I own and are definitely worth the price.

Best pair of hunting pants,

Best pair of hunting pants, ever! These pants are so warm, they will allow you to hunt into the late season. I hunted in 28 degree weather with just these and one pair of long johns. I know everyone wants to know about fit. I am 5 foot 7, 180 lbs. Large is just slightly about 1 inch long for me, but with my boots on they are perfect. With these pants, I will never have to wear a pair of long johns and sweat pants under my outer pants again. The pockets are extremely quiet. There is no back pocket, which took me a little bit to get accustomed to, but I just left my wallet in the truck. These pants are well worth every penny. They will not disappoint.

I am 6'6, 215lb and

I am 6'6, 215lb and have a hard time finding good hunting pants with a longer inseam with a 35in waist. I bought these in LT and the fit is perfect. I have had them out in low 30's and they are very warm with a single base layer and warm without a base layer for windy 50 degree afternoons. I would highly recommend.

Very warm, plenty of pockets and extremely comfortable. Sat in 35 degrees, sleet and wind and was perfectly content. If you dont like bibs, these pants and the Fanatic coat is a marriage made in heaven!

The perfect mid-season pants. These

The perfect mid-season pants. These pants get worn more than any other hunting pants I own. I love the all of the side pockets, the belt, the material, and how the WindStopper blocks wind so well. If you're a bowhunter, I don't see how you could pass on these pants. The pants are extremely comfortable and I often find myself wearing them around the house for comfort. I'm 6 foot and with a 38 waist and they fit true to size for me. I think the ideal temperature range for these pants is 60 degrees to the high 30's, although I have worn them down to 20 degrees with a base layer and sweatpants under them. WELL WORTH THE MONEY.

Picked these up in the

Picked these up in the middle of the season. I hunt in central Michigan and also in the U.P. Wore these pants when it was too warm for fanatic bibs. They're durable, fit great, and seriously block wind. Treestand hunting in 40 degree weather with gusting wind, only had a baselayer and stratus pant and I was more than comfortable. These will be my go to pant for when its not cold enough for fanatic.

I'm 6'4' tall with a 36 or 38 inch inseam and weigh in at 215. I ordered the large tall, I was a little leary about how it fit. It was perfect. Well designed, well constructed and warmer than I thought. Yes the price sucks, but so does freezing. This system isn't for you hunter who gets out 1 week a year. Using the heavyweight bottoms and the stratus pants, got me all the way to November in ne Ohio. Love them. And I even wear them under my fanatic bibs too.
